One of our brave Shark Divers this weekend will be Dani who was injured in 2017 whilst playing rugby. Since then she has continued her love of sport, representing GB in para ice hockey and completing the London Marathon, amongst other things. She is always interested in taking on new challenges for causes close to her heart, and we were delighted when she signed up for our Shark Dive. “Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive incredible support from SIA, and one of the most impactful moments for me was when an SCI nurse helped me advocate for my care. She worked alongside my local hospital to put together an Emergency Care Plan, and even coordinated with midwives to make sure our daughter’s birth was everything we hoped for. It made a huge difference in making us feel heard and supported in a system where we could have been overlooked." Thank you Dani for taking on the Shark Dive challenge. We can't wait to see the photos! You can donate to her fundraiser at https://lnkd.in/erb3xNDN #SharkDive #SpinalCordInjury #Fundraising #Charity
