Our very own Rebecca Moreland attended an event at the Auchan Retail Luxembourg site this week to witness the Exotec Skypod system in full flow. Thanks to Exotec and all the journalists that attended for making this such a successful event!
Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a press visit to the Auchan Retail Luxembourg site for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of their Exotec Skypod system in action, followed by a networking lunch and Q&A. Auchan’s Luxembourg warehouse is now home to 37 Exotec robots, designed to autonomously scale shelves as high as 12 metres, retrieving products from 15,300 bins. The result? An impressive throughput of up to 915 orders per hour, occupying only 749 square meters of floor space 🚀 This was a fantastic opportunity to represent Exotec’s UK PR team, and I’d like to extend my thanks to Libby Hargreaves, Zeke Downes, Peter MacLeod 🇪🇺 and Michelle Mooney for joining me and to Exotec and Auchan Retail for organising such a successful event!

"Education as a sector is crying out for support; between the challenges of tightening cybersecurity against bad actors, ensuring communication channels are operable for all involved, and giving quality laptops and computer hardware to the departments and students that require them, and all while saving enough in pennies for other department spending, the problems are there." In this article for TechRadar Pro, Steve Dickinson Head of Supply Chain at Espria - Empowering digital workspace, outlines why the affordability and sustainability of refurbished hardware closely aligns with the needs of schools and colleges. Last year we launched a brand new look for spreckley.co.uk. And though we are skilled in PR and crafting copy, we aren't yet experts in designing and building websites. Luckily, we enlisted the help of our partner Alchemy Digital. They've shared more on the work that went into our digital home below and explained how they designed a website that celebrated the written word.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working with some amazing partners, and Spreckley is one of the collaborations we’re incredibly proud of. We've proudly partnered with Spreckley for well over a decade, collaborating on numerous projects as their go-to digital specialists, while they continue to be our content maestros. For them, the written word is everything. So why hide great design behind stock photos? Let’s celebrate typography and let Copy take centre stage. Check out the video below for a sneak peek at some key elements of the site we've crafted together. You can also learn more about our journey here https://lnkd.in/exnTGqhr Richard Merrin Adam Hartley

Rampant inflation, a faltering stock market, geopolitical tensions and high interest rates have seen the financial services sector undergo an intense period of transition this year. Luckily, Spreckley's Joe Jordan has been keeping his finger on the pulse when it comes to the trends impacting the financial services and fintech market. He's penned a new blog that looks at these in detail and also predicts what we'll be talking about in the months to come and subsequently incorporating into our PR campaigns. From gamification to hybrid cloud and GenAI, you can read the blog here: https://lnkd.in/edZPq7mg

“Investing in personnel with dedicated, ongoing training needs to be a priority for MSPs and SMEs alike, as it not only future-proofs your operations, but also ends up being more cost-effective when working around a tighter budget." This week, Mark Appleton, chief customer officer at ALSO Group, spoke to MicroScope UK about how MSPs can address the security skills gap. “Consistent training platforms to support teams can help ease the burden of an initial lack of cyber security knowledge, whilst also increasing the value of the existing team,” Appleton explained. "Scaling up green steel production and ensuring it is cost-competitive with traditional methods is a challenging task. At this time, green steel can cost 20-30 per cent more to produce than conventional steel. Yet, as technologies mature and economies of scale are realised, this price gap will narrow." In this article for The Engineer UK, Adam Aziz, an analyst at boutique investment bank DAI Magister, explains how the steel industry can transform itself from one of the world's biggest polluters to a key contributor to a sustainable economy. Last week, we were named with just 40 other agencies in People Like Us and PRWeek UK's Pay Gaps Report. Though the findings reveal there is work to be done across the board, transparency is undoubtedly the first step in addressing any existing gaps. Well done to all our colleagues and partner agencies that took part in this year's report. Hopefully, in next year's report we'll see others join the fight for greater transparency.
