Updates

  • It was our pleasure to host First Minister John Swinney at our South Glassgreen development in Elgin today. As well as showcasing the range and quality of the energy efficient homes that are being delivered for our partner Grampian Housing Association, topics of discussion included funding for affordable housing, recent building standard consultations and the Housing Bill. Mr Swinney is pictured here with two of our bricklaying apprentices, Andrew Carr and Dean Murdoch, who outlined to the First Minister their training journey with Springfield.

  • We’re updating! As part of the Springfield Group, building high quality and energy efficient homes across Scotland, we are joining our brands LinkedIn pages so you can get all your information about all of our brands within the Group in one place. Updates from Springfield, Dawn, Walker, Tulloch and Mactaggart & Mickel, from job adverts, news articles and other exciting information about our business, will be communicated here as The Springfield Group. As you’re already here, you don’t need to do anything – we just wanted to let you know.

  • We were joined by Housing Minister, Paul McLennan again this week – this time at our Ferrylea development in Forres. The 43 affordable homes, built in partnership with Grampian Housing Association, are highly energy efficient featuring innovative air source heating and high levels of insulation to keep carbon emissions, and running costs, low. It was a privilege to have had the opportunity to meet with residents who are now calling these houses home and to understand the positive impact developments such as this can have on individuals. It was also reassuring to see the Housing Minister proactively engaging with housing partners at such a critical time, and we are pleased to have been part of the conversation to help address the housing emergency. Thank you again to Grampian Housing for arranging the visit and to the Housing Minister for visiting the development and meeting with the residents.

  • With ground work underway at our exciting new, high quality affordable development in Aberlour in partnership with Moray Council, we were pleased to welcome Housing Minister, Paul McLennan to the site this week to discuss how we can build more developments like this to meet the pressing housing needs. We are in the midst of an exceptionally exciting time for Moray and the Highlands. The upcoming Inverness and Cromarty Firth Freeport as well as the Beauly to Peterhead powerline will bring job opportunities as well as investment to the area. This investment heightens the already significant demand for high quality housing, particularly in the north of Scotland. Our Speyview development in Aberlour will bring 39 energy efficient homes to the area to help meet the rising demand, construction will support local trades and businesses and support significant infrastructure improvements, including a new junction onto the A95. Thank you to Moray Council for arranging the visit and to the Housing Minister for taking the time to join.

  • At a fundamental time for the Highlands, Tulloch Homes, within the Springfield Group, has brought together corporate partners for discussions on investment opportunities and how we can work together to address increasing housing demand in the region. Thank you to those who joined us at Castle Stuart Golf Links – we found the conversations useful and have identified a number of actions that we are excited to take forward.
