As the weather gets warmer and the days grow longer, many of us are feeling a natural mood boost. ☀️ However, if you notice that some of your colleagues aren't as bright as usual, take a moment to check in and see how they're doing. Sometimes, a simple conversation is all it takes to make a difference. You can learn more about how to start mindful conversations at work here: https://lnkd.in/ehbpVzfJ

St John Ambulance is proud to join with our partners British Heart Foundation and 46 organisations in calling on the Department of Health and Social Care to support a Cardiovascular Disease Action Plan as part of the 10 Year Health Plan. 💚 The burden of Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrests (OHCA) has a devastating impact on families, communities and NHS staff. Every year, there are 30,000 OHCAs in the UK, with less than 1 in 10 people surviving. This needs to change. The 10-Year Plan is a welcome opportunity to improve OHCA survival rates by investing in community first response, educating the public (including young people of school age) in first aid and expanding public access to automated external defibrillators to tackle health inequalities, improve health outcomes and save lives.
