Sustainability starts with practical changes. We've introduced our first hybrid vehicles to the fleet with Community Transport Services (CTS) benefitting from the new additions. The new hybrid Kia Carnivals are expected to reduce fuel consumption by about 40% and are just one of the initiatives St John WA is implementing as part of the 2023–2026 Strategic Plan. It's Heart Research month and helping to keep hearts pumping is the job of everyone, especially in a cardiac arrest emergency. Deputy Director of Paramedicine Andrew (Andy) Bell demonstrated how easy it is to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) radio in Perth yesterday and the difference it makes. The simple act of Call (Triple Zero - 000). Push (the chest sternum). Shock (with an AED) is vital in saving a life. If you missed it, catch up on his chat with Jo Trilling here: https://lnkd.in/gS8bhyhd
