His research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, financial/regulatory technology, textual analysis, international finance, and risk management, among others. He was awarded doctoral scholarships from the Financial Mathematics and Computation Cluster (FMCC), Science Foundation Ireland (SFI), Higher Education Authority (HEA) and Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, University College Dublin (UCD). Previously, he worked within wealth management and as a statutory auditor. He completed his doctoral studies in Finance from UCD in 2024, and obtained his MSc in Finance from UCD, his Accounting Technician accreditation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and his undergraduate degree from Bangalore University. He was formerly FMCC Database Management Group Data Manager, Research Assistant, PhD Representative and Teaching Assistant for undergraduate, graduate and MBA programmes. Designed with growth businesses in mind, you'll benefit from the power of peer learning, delivered in person on campus at Strathclyde Business School over 12 weeks. Described as a “mini MBA”, the programme is a low cost, effective leadership development programme for senior leaders of SMEs. This 12-week course is 90% funded by the UK Government and open to leaders and senior management from businesses that have been operating for over a year with between 5 - 249 employees. All industries are welcome, and we encourage individuals from underrepresented groups to apply. Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming back our Cohort 2 MBA in Sustainable Energy Futures for an immersive experience in the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics modules and Systems Thinking sessions, expertly led by Dr. Euan Barlow and Murray Cook. We were also honoured to host David Moore who provided invaluable industry insights on data analytics across a wide range of organizations. The cohort demonstrated incredible engagement throughout the three days, participating in thought-provoking discussions, peer-to-peer learning, and knowledge sharing. Their creative and collaborative thinking was truly inspiring. We look forward to seeing this talented group back on campus for their next session in just a few weeks! Previously, he worked as a Knowledge Exchange Associate with the FinTech Cluster at the same university. Previously, he was a Tutor at the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance at the University of Cambridge. There he contributed to building the capacity of FinTech entrepreneurs, regulators, and policymakers from across the globe on FinTech and Regulatory Innovation. He also served as a Public Policy Tutor at the United Nations University-MERIT. Godsway has a Ph.D. in Economics from Maastricht University in the Netherlands with a specialisation in Economics of Innovation. He has a Master of Science degree in Global Economy from the University of Glasgow, UK, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana. His research focuses on the impacts of digital technologies and financial innovations (FinTech) on financial inclusion, welfare, and entrepreneurship in developing countries. He has previously examined the effects of local digital lending development, digital infrastructure, and mobile money in developing countries. He currently works on the Financial Regulation Innovation project that focuses on the application of technologies to drive regulatory innovations (RegTech) and efficiency in financial regulation compliance. Godsway has published in reputable journals including Small Business Economics.
