*****Sub Surface Celebrating 50 Years of Business!***** On 28th March 1972, Sub Surface Limited was founded by Clifford Marsden to provide Ground Investigation and Geotechnical Consultancy services. We would like to thank all Sub Surface employees, Clients and Subcontractors for all their work, time, commitment and loyalty over the last 50 years. They have been instrumental in the success and growth of Sub Surface and without them Sub Surface would not be where it is today. Following subsidence of the existing prison wall, Sub Surface Midlands have completed a crucial ground investigation to support the design and construction of a new prison wall. The ground investigation included eight cable percussive boreholes using a Dando 2000, followed by rotary coring and open holing using a Comacchio 450, reaching depths of 70m. 🌍 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐭 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 & 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 🌍 Sub Surface has recently completed a 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 project in Preston, supporting a UK manufacturer in their journey towards 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐭 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐛𝐲 2050. Our team conducted deep 𝐜𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬 with 𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 follow on, complemented by 𝐂𝐏𝐓 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 (Lankelma Ltd), to assess the ground conditions for foundations. The results from our investigation will play a key role in the design and construction of a 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞, which will help drive 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 and support the company's 𝐍𝐞𝐭 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 goals. 🌳 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍’𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐉𝐎𝐑 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐒 🌳 Sub Surface have recently completed ground investigation works for the regeneration of 𝘔𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘬 and 𝘞𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘦𝘺 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘬 in Preston. Funded by the 𝘓𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘜𝘱 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘦, these projects aim to support Preston's growth through high-impact, visible initiatives that foster a liveable, healthy, and sustainably connected city, delivering real quality of life benefits to local communities. The result will be a more sustainable, attractive, and greener city. 🍃 Our work included: 🌉 Conducting cable percussive boreholes and tracked cable percussive boreholes to assess ground conditions, crucial for rebuilding the bridge over the Serpentine Lake in Moor Park. 🚲 Performing a comprehensive ground investigation across Waverley Park to enhance the games area, and add new features such as a skate park, bicycle pump track, and football pavilion. 🏆 𝐒𝐮𝐛 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐂'𝐬 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 🏆 Following their triumphant League 2 victory and promotion to League 1, Sub Surface are thrilled to have completed the next phase of Ground Investigation works at Edgeley Park for Stockport County FC's stadium expansion. The project involves redevelopment plans for the East and South Stands, along with extending the North Stand to boost capacity from 10,852 to approximately 18,000 seats. Despite one of our drillers claiming disinterest in football, the photo I received the next day told a different story. The team joyfully hoisted the trophy during their lunch break. A hearty congratulations to everyone at Stockport County FC for clinching the title and securing promotion! We eagerly anticipate their continued ascent and the progress of the stadium redevelopment.
