Gool Peran Lowen! 🌊 Cornwall is more than just home for us—it’s where a whole movement started. For 35 years, we’ve fought to defend our waves, protect our waters, and call out polluters. This coastline inspires everything we do, but it’s the people, our community, who now reach every corner of the UK, who make the movement unstoppable. 💪🏄♀️ #StPiransDay #Cornwall #EndSewagePollution

🌊🤩 The UK has been blessed with countless stunning beaches, rivers and lakes. It's no surprise that we're water-loving people. From swimmers and surfers to paddlers and anglers, we all share the same passion for our blue spaces. But profiteering polluters have been using our waterways as a dumping ground, putting our health and the environment at risk. 😡 Communities all across the UK are joining forces to protect our wild waters - will you join them? ✊ Get started: https://lnkd.in/efWN_7g3. 📸: Emma Stoner #ProtectingWildWaters #OceanActivists

Meet Helen, one of our incredible regional reps (Southend-on-Sea) 🙌 For the past 10 years, Helen's been making waves for ocean conservation—leading beach cleans, giving talks, campaigning for plastic bans, and inspiring her community to take action. 🌊 She's led and assisted 100+ beach cleans 📢 Delivered talks, engaged with local MPs and attended marches ⚖️ Campaigned for plastic-free policies & corporate accountability 🤝 Brought local groups together to protect our coastline ... just to name a few of her accomplishments. "The main part of my role is to empower and engage other people to realise that what they do affects our planet." "Being an ocean activist and a lover of all things sea, I find myself most at peace on the beach, down by the water. It is so important for mental health and well-being, and crucial that the ocean stays as clean as possible to sustain marine life and keep the lungs of our planet working efficiently." From tackling plastic pollution washing up from the Thames to challenging the impact of container ships, Helen's work is proof that one person’s passion can spark a movement. Want to get involved?
