The Universal Design Guidelines for Changing Places Toilets have officially been launched by Minister Anne Rabbitte T.D. at the The Centre for Excellence in Universal Design (CEUD), Dublin. Minister Rabbitte emphasised the importance of Changing Places Toilets to improving accessibility and the everyday lives of those with disabilities. Andrew met with Anne Healy and her daughter Eilish from Co Wicklow (pictured), who initiated the campaign for Changing Places Ireland after becoming aware of the UK Changing Places Organisation initiative. Anne was the catalyst for the provision of CPT facilities at Trinity College Dublin, Dundrum Town Centre Shopping and Aras an Uachtarain, amongst others. In fact, all of the CPT facilities in Ireland so far could be attributed to Anne’s determination and lobbying with others. SYNC Living’s Andrew Smyth was responsible for the supply and installation of the key equipment required for the above mentioned sites in addition to numerous other locations! #changingplacesireland #changingplaces #accessibleeu #universaldesign #cpt
