New work alert!   We are excited to share our relatable new films for Maltesers which capture the everyday chaos parents face. Building on their existing 'lighter side' equity, Maltesers are setting out to remind Aussie parents that sometimes all it takes to shift perspective is a shared moment of light-hearted connection - best fuelled by laughter and a handful of Maltesers.    Thanks to our amazing partners at Mars Australia and our production right hands Hogarth Australia and The Producers . Well done to the team- Sacha Leyland, Lauren Sotelo, Georgia Malcolm, boris garelja, Katelyn Testa & Anais Read #TandPm #PowerOfAnd #Mars #Maltesers

Is Performance TV Advertising the key to unlocking efficient performance marketing wins?    Our Head of Commerce Strategy, Lesley Myers-Lamptey, explored this very question as part of the "Performance TV Advertising as the Antidote to Big Tech" panel at the Connected TV World Summit!   Lesley highlighted how CTV offers a powerful alternative, delivering targeted reach, measurable results, and a brand-safe environment that Big Tech can't always guarantee.   When asked about whether there’s a role for media planners and buyers during the panel, Lesley's response was: “CTV's power is amplified by the abundance of platforms, formats and data, but strategic planning is essential to navigate this fragmentation. Smart choices and experimentation are key to crafting resonant brand messages that captures attention and drives incremental growth.”   Thanks to Sameer Modha for leading the discussion and to Sam Taylor and Tristram Macdonald for their valuable insights as fellow panellists! #TandPm #CTVWS #PowerOfAnd #TVAdvertising #BigTech

Here's to the trailblazers. Women like Molly. Thank you for sharing Victoria Appleby (nee Sangster) #IWD2025 #TandPm #PowerofAnd

On this International Women’s Day, I wanted to share some photos I found recently of my mother, Molly Sangster. After leaving school, Molly worked as a secretary in various industries before moving to the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, where these photos were taken in the 1960s. She's quite easy to spot! At the time, it was commonplace that women were paid based on their age, rather than the role they undertook. Molly thought this was unfair and wanted to change this in her office. So, she presented an argument to her bosses and guess what? She got it changed. Molly became the first female Clerk of the GCC. She was also the first woman to take a trade mission from the UK to Canada. As we can see she did all of this without even really having a seat at the table. OK she had a seat, it was sort of near the table, but you get my point… As I settle into my new role T&Pm surrounded by a brilliant team, with wonderful clients, photographs like this make me reflect on how far we have all come because of women like Molly.  There is much more to do, and we must #AccelerateAction but I also give thanks to all the female trailblazers who have made today possible.  #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction

Look how far we've come... It can get all too easy to get a bit of 'AI fatigue'. With an endless swirl of hype and news. But over the past 2-3 years, we've not just got a new tool in AI, but a whole new weird and wonderful toolkit that has the potential to do a lot of things interesting and differently. What is possible today, was unthinkable just a couple of years ago. For example, this image is the same prompt, a couple of years apart - and even though I enjoy the abstract style of the 2022 version, the speed of improvement is mind-boggling. The tools aren't perfect now, they're not a miracle solution, and we firmly believe that (at least for now) a sophisticated blend of AI+HI working together is going to be integral. As Grady Booch once said, "a fool with a tool is still a fool". Or, worse than that, a powerful tool in the wrong hands can be a dangerous liability. But we're not just creating tools to do old things in a new way. They change our relationship with knowledge, strategy and thought. In the same way that printing and the written word was a new knowledge tool for humanity, AI brings in a new kind of knowledge tool that we are all just at the tip of the iceberg of understanding. There are already concerns that AI becomes a crutch that inhibits our ability to think critically and the learn - and we instead become 'hands on the keyboard' copy and pasting the output of an AI, without really thinking about it. But the same fear has been around almost every other new technology. TV makes us stupid, smartphones make us stupid, but they also massively open up access to information and create a new form for creating and consuming media. A recent example I was playing around with was how it can change our experience with knowledge and thinking. Using OpenAI's Deep Research, combined with NotebookLM, I took a topic (my personal passion project - the intersection between boardgames, strategy, culture and AI) and ask a single prompt to get a deep research 4000 word study on it which I then turned into a podcast - which you can listen to here: https://lnkd.in/eH972uJW The podcast isn't perfect - there are some weird artefacts and glitches - but it's easy to get lulled into listening, and it covers a breadth of topics articulately and entertainingly. Having read pretty extensively around it, it covered a lot of topics, and the research in it is pretty much spot on. It also came up with some elegant thoughts and phraseology. This is all done with a bit a manual process but the next era of agents takes this to a new level. If LLMs give us a generally useful 'intelligence', agents give them autonomy, tools, self-evaluation, behaviours and processes. Taking it from being a single 'call and response' intelligence in a box, to an intelligent agent acting within our lives, our organisations and the world. Look how far we've come - but we've also only just begun.
