We're getting into the Halloween spirit here at Taylor Hobson 🎃 Last spooky season, we used 'follow mode' on the Talyrond® 500 HS PRO to measure the roundness of a pumpkin. This year, we've taken it a step further, seeing if the Talyrond® 500 HS PRO could measure the surface roughness of a pumpkin! Not exactly what it was primarily designed for, but we do love a good challenge 👻 Thanks to the Talyrond®'s low stylus force, we were able to measure the surface of the pumpkin without carving it! Last week, Taylor Hobson had the pleasure of attending the Metrology in Manufacturing Technologies conference in Poland. The key themes of this year’s event included Metrology 4.0, optical methods, and the role of artificial intelligence in modern manufacturing - topics that are shaping the future of our industry. We’re especially proud of James, our Product Manager for Metrology 4.0 Software, who delivered an insightful presentation titled, “Directions of Development of Modern Metrology with Particular Emphasis on Practical Aspects”. James’ talk provided a forward-looking perspective on the future of metrology, with a focus on practical applications that sparked engaging discussions among attendees.
