TAZAAR GeoTag on the Move #01 In September, the APT-GB team travelled from Cornwall to Central London for #PLASA London, where they integrated a GeoTag into their FlyPro Comfort Monitor #FlyProwithGeoTag. Their FlyPro was stowed away in a Flight Case in a van, and we managed to capture its route points in timed intervals down to street level. For traveling to an event, the APT team could pinpoint where their equipment is in real-time, review historical data, and keep the show on track. Ashley Smith Lisa S. From Corporate Head role to Start-up CTO: One year on. A year ago, Ashley Smith jumped headfirst into TAZAAR. He says it was a bit crazy, looking back: two of us with no income, no product to sell, and a lot of big ideas. Evenings and weekends lost their meaning. He reflects on how much he has learned and achieved more than he thought possible as a technical co-founder: 1. He launched our Digital Product Passport service in May 2024 and our GeoTag product in September 2024. Building the products from scratch and learning new technical skills on the go. 2. He achieved Cyber Essentials certifications, nurturing a security culture and implementing measures. Despite competing priorities, this has always remained a steadfast activity. 3. Far from the comfort of non-client-facing tasks, he's been thrown into client meetings, advised clients during onboarding, and attended industry events. He wouldn't mind more days with a dog by his desk. We look forward to many more years with Ashley Smith's technical leadership, calm demeanor, and drive to solve impactful and challenging problems.
