At Team Factors, we help businesses with cash flow finance and provide them with the funds they need to grow their business. By issuing immediate payment against sales ledgers, we help bridge the gap between raising invoices and getting paid.   • A Message from Our Managing Director, Elizabeth Williams, this International Women's Day Today, we're recognising the incredible contributions of women in business - both in our team and among the businesses we support. At Apollo Business Finance and Team Factors, we have a lot of talented women, and I am proud to lead them all. However, I am sure most would agree that further change is required to break down the social norms that still exist and can act as barriers to women achieving their ambitions. I can attest to a few struggles and sacrifices I have had to overcome - mum guilt and imposter syndrome, to name a few. These statistics need to change: In 2024, female-founded businesses secured just 1.8% of UK equity investment, while all-male teams received 86% (The Times). The gender pay gap continues to be an issue—women in senior finance roles earn approximately 30% less than their male counterparts (The Times). There continues to be a lack of females in senior roles across business sectors - women hold less than 10% of CEO roles in FTSE 100 companies, and female representation in FTSE 350 executive positions has increased by only 5% over three years (The Times). Yet, studies show that a more diverse board generates higher profits - research from the Peterson Institute found that companies moving from 0% to 30% female leadership saw a 15% increase in profitability (Peterson Institute for International Economics). And for this to change, more women need to be given opportunities to shine and, in turn, become the role models of the future.
