HEALTH AND SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY Last week, 7 of the Tecan team took part in a joint exercise with the Wiltshire & Dorset fire service attended by four tenders and which involved Hazmat liaison and gas-tight protection. Scenario: uncontrolled chlorine gas generation caused by chemical reaction Casualties: 2 (1 dummy and 1 live casualty) Exercise: A snatch rescue was conducted, then a search rescue and finally a ventilation plan. This was a full-on exercise with loads going on in which the Tecan team excelled. "I want to thank the team for volunteering to take part in this exercise, they did Tecan proud. I can truly say this was one of the most impressive exercises I have been involved in." Complex geometries can be created without the need for multiple processes and additional cost because chemical etching removes metal in a single process even if variations in aperture size, bar width and open area ratios are required to control flow rates. Because the process allows us to create greater open areas than in other processes, we can work at micro scale to 100 μm with an accuracy ±0.025 mm, maintaining strength and achieving a slim profile.
