I could have done it better. I'd like to do it better! I prepared - I always prepare. But sometimes that isn't enough. I had 4 titles written on a page to take on stage with me. I managed to successfully do 1 of the 4. Which was - and the winner is: Clearly PR for their amazing campaign 'The Baton of hope'.
I can be slow. I am not always able to communicate what I would like to, when I would like to. Because my nervous system gets in the way.
When it comes to standing up in front of a large audience, it kicks into the four F's. It is an interesting sensation when all four are vying for position and you are not sure if you will - fight your way out, flight - just run away, freeze to the spot or fawn and try to please everyone.
Having time for my nervous system to calm down and the opinion that it is better late than never. I'm going to share my 4 points one at a time to give them the time and space they deserve.
1 Jazzbones Creative - A fantastic example of Swindon Creative sector. They submitted their Swindog's campaign for the 'best creative campaign award'. Raising over £160k in funds for Julia's House Children's Hospices.
Swindon Borough Council supported the campaign by providing space in the Carriage Works for artists to prepare their dogs, before being placed on a pedestal and installed around the town for the trail. We loved watching the dogs becoming the beautiful range of artworks that they did in the Carriage Works. Getting the behind the scenes sneaky peeks before they were taken out to their trail locations.
The Campaign finished with an auction to sell the dogs to raise funding and awareness of a great cause back in September 2023.
