Last week, we co-hosted a panel discussion with Actus Consulting in London to discuss the IT & Tech Services M&A market, and we’re really excited to share some key insights from the event. 🚀                                                                                                                             We were delighted to be joined by a variety of perspectives on the panel, as we dove into the Tech Services M&A market, reviewed the impact of recent economic shifts on buyer and investor behaviour, and our panellists shared valuable insights into what makes a business attractive.   Diving into the stats, we know the Tech Services market has had a tough 18 months, however we saw there is relative resilience in the market, and there are still hot pockets of significant growth amidst the headwinds. 📈   Here's some key advice from the panel on how to defy difficult market conditions:   🔹 Have a culture of being entrepreneurial - take risks, learn, adjust and grow 🔹 Tap into current themes including behavioural science, cyber, and supporting large software verticals 🔹 Spread your risk via sector, service or diversified customer accounts 🔹 Have a passion to do something different including creating IP 🔹 Have an aligned incentivised team – prioritise creating a positive work environment and hire for likeability   And when preparing for an ‘exit event’, here’s how to maximise your success:   🔹 Have your story ready – why have you invested as you have? even if this means a drag on profit.
