Did you know the UK Halloween industry is now worth over £1 billion? Engineering tools like Computer-Aided Design (CAD), have significantly contributed to enhancing the creativity, and profitability of Halloween-related products and events. CAD has transformed how people create, produce, and experience Halloween-related activities by making the design process more efficient, creative, and customisable. How has CAD made an impact?  🎃 Lighting Design - CAD software allows designers to simulate different lighting scenarios, perfect for creating spooky atmospheres in homes, haunted houses, or outdoor spaces. 🎃 Animatronics & Attractions - Large-scale Halloween events often rely on CAD to design animatronics and mechanical structures, adding realistic motion to haunted attractions. 🎃 Optimising Lighting Effects - Engineers can model various lighting placements to enhance eerie effects, creating the perfect glow for a spooky environment. 🎃 Laser Cutting & CNC Machining - CAD-generated designs are frequently used to produce patterns for laser cutting or CNC routing, perfect for creating intricate decorations and props. Happy Halloween to our global colleagues and clients celebrating this evening.  #CADDesign #CreativeEngineering #Spooky Season #PeopleAtTECOSIM

Early-stage testing not only saves you time but also prevents costly conversations with clients. By catching errors early in the development process, we can identify potential issues before they progress, reducing the risk of expensive late-stage changes. Errors are most often discovered during: ❌ The latter stages of design verification ❌ Prototyping ❌ Pre-production ❌ Manufacturing setup ❌ Testing and quality assurance TECOSIM promotes an iterative design approach, where prototypes and designs are continuously tested and refined throughout development. Addressing potential issues earlier in the process is crucial to minimising the impact of late-stage discoveries. Partner with TECOSIM for a smoother, error-free development process and stay ahead of the competition. EngineeringExcellence #Innovation #CAE #ProductDevelopment #Efficiency #ErrorPrevention

Dermott Carr, Managing Director at TECOSIM US, is navigating his true north in North America with a CAE compass, with ongoing TECOSIM success on the horizon. In a recent interview, Dermott expressed his vision for TECOSIM: ‘To be recognised as one of the best automotive simulation suppliers in the North American region, delivering not only resources but also technical excellence to our clients. TECOSIM has so much to offer globally, and I look forward to bringing that to the US and growing the team.’ Engineering has been Dermott's passion since childhood. ‘All my life, I’ve been fascinated with how things work. As a child, I would take things apart and put them back together. As a teenager, I enjoyed working with cars and engines. CAE brought together my love for solving structural problems and my hobby of computing. For me, as a young engineer, this represented the best of many worlds.’ The advantages for our customers are grounded in the same principle as always. #TECOSIM #EngineeringExcellence #AutomotiveSimulation #CAE #Innovation #Leadership #NorthAmerica

Why Multi-Disciplinary Optimisation matters. In today’s increasingly complex engineering landscape, optimisation challenges often extend beyond the capabilities of any single software package. Multi-disciplinary optimisation tools like LS-OPT and Odyssey enable engineers to consider a wide range of parameters—such as structural integrity, thermal performance, aerodynamics, and material costs—within a single, integrated process. For instance, when optimising a vehicle component, we can assess crashworthiness using LS-DYNA while simultaneously evaluating fluid dynamics in CFD software, ensuring that all critical aspects are addressed in parallel. The principles of multi-disciplinary optimisation are not limited to automotive engineering. This approach is invaluable across various sectors, including: 🔭 Aerospace 🔌 Consumer Electronics 🏘️ Civil Engineering ⚡️ Energy 🩻 Medical Devices Through cross-sector collaboration, we are engineering a better future together. #MultiDisciplinaryOptimisation #EngineeringExcellence #LSOPT #Odyssey #AIOptimisation #LoveOurWork
