Back in the UK after a long week in Vegas, reflecting on an exciting event by BlackHat! Here are some key takeaways from the event: - Lots of early stage Security Vendors are gearing up for growth. - GTM and new customer growth take the lead, with a focus on maximizing customer value. - There's an uptick in VC investment. - Q4 is projected to be a period of substantial growth, with many VP’s and CRO’s discussing GTM hiring plans. - The Threat & Vulnerability management space is expanding, marked by the emergence of new PenTesting and MDR vendors. - AI is a hot topic in the security sector! Exciting times ahead, now to enjoy the cooler climate and kickstart growth plans with the new vendors we connected with at BlackHat!

Reflecting on Black Hat as one of the more ‘full-on’ events I’ve attended this year… - The security industry does ecosystem like no other. These partnerships highlighted by all the co-hosted socials, the Optiv and Cyberstarts events in particular. - Customer adoption remains front and centre for GTM leaders. I was asked multiple times about hiring strategy for CS and TAMs. - Funding news was everywhere, and this isn’t slowing down through the end of 2024. - Buckle up for a Q4 hiring sprint. Almost every sales leader I spoke with has headcount for the fall. The competition for talent will get even tougher. Now back in Toronto and just about reacclimatized - there were no complaints about the 60°F degree temperatures walking to the office this morning!

A goodbye that's not really a goodbye... Since their Teem journey started in 2019 and 2022 respectively, Daniel and Hari have always shown an interest in joining our North American team over in Canada. Today is the day that transition becomes official! Lauren, our Global Operations Director, said: “I could not be more thrilled for both these guys – it is a fantastic experience for them both personally and professionally, and as a company, to be able to support and empower them to achieve their goal of moving to Toronto has been so rewarding. We will miss them in the Leeds office for sure, but I fully expect to see great things from them both in the coming months!” Before the big day, we held a beach-themed rooftop party for a proper send-off in the British sunshine, where our UK team could share their best wishes. 🥳 Although not the first of our UK #teemmates to make the move, we are all incredibly excited to see their next chapter unfold across the Atlantic at Teem.
