  • 🔹THANK YOU TO C SOFTWARE 🔹 We would like to thank Tewkesbury-based company C Software Limited who have once again sponsored some amazing ICT programming equipment to support our learners here at Tewkesbury Academy. Last week, we were excited to receive 60 brand new Raspberry Pi Picos. These are designed for physical computing projects where the device can control familiar components such as LEDs, buttons, sensors, motors. Lead teacher for Computing, Mr Lakin, commented: "these powerful microcontrollers will give our students hands-on experience in coding, electronics, and problem-solving; helping them develop essential programming skills for the future." "This is the next logical step up from the BBC Micro:bits that were also graciously sponsored by C Software before Christmas. We are grateful for their sponsorship which is allowing our students to experience physical computing whilst also enriching their programming skills." This contribution is not just about technology; it's about support from our community and empowering our students with the skills they need to thrive in the digital age. If you're a local company and may be able to support us in any way, we would be very pleased to hear from you. Please get in touch with the Principal via info@ta.clf.uk 🙏💻✨ #Grateful #CommunitySupport #Education #ICT #Coding #FutureReady Cabot Learning Federation

We're excited to announce the launch of the 'CLF Alumni 15', a new network of former pupils, formed this year as part of our trust’s 15th anniversary celebrations.   The ambition is to highlight successful former pupils to showcase what can be achieved by those who embrace their CLF education – inspiring current and future generations to follow in their footsteps.   The project is being headed by CLF Partnership Manager Andrew Bell, who is starting with 15 remarkable CLF Alumni to reflect the anniversary milestone.   They include stars from sport, TV and film and the arts, high profile names from politics, and those blazing a trail in fields such as science and media.   In the weeks to come, we will be showcasing and celebrating the Alumni 15 – starting today with Sunchi Chen – a former City Academy student, now conducting globally-important research as a nuclear physicist with the UK Atomic Energy Authority.   This is just the start of building a CLF Alumni Community. If you attended a CLF Academy, we would love to hear more about your journey. Please get in touch with Andrew by email, andrew.bell@clf.uk. #academies #multiacademytrusts #leadership #alumni Sunchi M Chen Andrew Bell

  • Our students have demonstrated their generosity and community spirit once again by spending Thursday 10 October in non-uniform to raise funds for Tewkesbury CofE Primary. The recent heavy rain caused severe flooding and damaged the library of their school damaging books, furniture, and carpets. A big THANK YOU to you all for the donations, and we are pleased to share that £876 has been raised. A great total 👏🏻well done! Kathleen McGillycuddy, Principal said, “We are really proud of our young people and their families who have raised these funds for Tewkesbury C of E Primary School. We were deeply upset that their library was destroyed in the recent floods – reading and literacy are so important to all of us – so it was only natural that everyone wanted to help. I’m pleased to see our values of responsibility exemplified here, and we hope all the youngsters at the primary school will soon enjoy lovely new books as a result.” #ThisisTewkesbury #charitableTewkesbury #Fundraising #Community Cabot Learning Federation
