Leveraging our expertise in product design and manufacturing to build strategic machines, we've worked closely with Facit Technologies to bring this innovative technology to life. The FCP is not just another machine—it's a game-changer. It automates core processes like material loading and unloading, integrates cutting-edge 2D printing capabilities, and features a buffer system for continuous overnight operation. These advancements will enable FACIT to increase the volume of plywood sheets they can cut by 10 times, making scalable, digital home manufacturing a reality. Our contribution to this project highlights Tharsus’ commitment to driving innovation in automation. The new 2D printing capabilities are particularly noteworthy, as they allow for the printing of codes, QR codes, instructions, and set-out icons directly onto components. This reduces the risk of errors during assembly and speeds up the overall construction process. FACIT CHASSIS PRINTER We’re excited to show the development of our new FACIT Chassis Printer (FCP), our new highly automated machine which will give us vastly higher cutting volume and new capabilities such as our integrated 2D printer. We’ve been working on this new machine in partnership with UK based Tharsus, our partnership with them has been an invaluable collaboration combining their expertise in automation and advanced manufacturing with our knowledge of digitally manufacturing homes. The new machine is the core technology within our new Mobile Micro Factories which will give us the ability to scale up the volume of plywood sheets we can cut. The new machine adds automation around our core CNC machine, adding material loading/unloading, new 2D printing capabilities and a buffer allowing the machine to run overnight. Combined our new machine will 10X the volume of sheets we can cut. New 2D printing capabilities opens up new opportunities to print codes, QR codes, instructions, and set out icons directly onto the faces of our components. This helps to expedite the assembly and construction process whilst de-risking things being installed in the wrong places or inaccurately.
