🚨 🏃♂️ Great North Run 🏃🏽 🚨 The action moves to Newcastle this morning as Adrian Rushby & Will Gordon take on the iconic Great North Run for the Boparan Charitable Trust. 🔥 🚨 MISSION ACCOMPLISHED !!! 🚨 🔥 A huge well done to the UKP team from 2 Sisters Food Group , who conquered the Tough Mudder at Ragley Hall this morning!!! In the process, they have to date raised over £3,156 to support the work of the Boparan Trust in helping to change the lives of children with disabilities, life-limiting conditions and those in extreme poverty. Great start to a big weekend for the Trust, as we received this update from Hannah about her new wheelchair supported by the Boparan Charitable Trust. Hannah lives with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and a range of other conditions, which cause crippling pain in her hips, ankles, knees, and fingers with dislocations. In addition to having a feeding tube fitted in 2022 and 8 months in hospital due to complex gut dysmotility. The inspirational teenager will be able to mobilize independently with the new chair and enjoy trips with her family thanks to its smart drive. Less than ten days to go until a team from 2SFG UKP go over the wall to compete in the legendary 🔥 TOUGH MUDDER 🔥 at Ragley Hall, Alcester. They will be swapping spreadsheets and boardrooms for the mud, sweat and tears of the adrenaline fuelled event. To date over £1,800 has been raised to support our work, with the team hoping to smash this in the coming week. 18 days to go until 60,000 people take to the streets of the North-East for the world famous Great North Run. Earlier this week we could up with Will Gordon Commercial Director for Frytec LTD , whose one of three people running for the Boparan Charitable Trust. Will has been training hard for the challenge averaging over 40 – 50 km a week, when asked what keeps him motivated, he said “I have been a follower of the Boparan Trust for a few years and find it amazing to see the work they do to help change the lives of young people in both big and small ways. In addition to fundraising, I have set myself the challenge of completing the run in under two hours.” Best of luck to Will as he swaps chip tasting for road racing to help support a Brighter Future for young people across the UK.
