With today being #worldmentalhealthday ... I wanted to drop a reminder about the 10k that I will be running this Sunday (October 13th) for The Burnt Chef Project, in order to raise funds that will support the vital work they provide within the hospitality industry. Unfortunately, I have been a bit quiet on the fundraising front as I wasn't sure if I was going to make the start line after suffering a football related knee injury in September. It is probably time to call it a day on the football career 😄 While I *probably* won't run an Olympic qualifying time, I will still be flying the flag for The Burnt Chef Project, and on this day more than ever, implore you to look at the work that they do for the hospitality industry. If you have a spare few quid that you want to throw my way in terms of sponsorship, every penny counts in helping them provide support. Please see https://lnkd.in/ecuAtjEq Race time is at 1030am, so I should have several ice packs on me by midday and draining the batteries on my massage gun!

On #WorldMentalHealthDay, we want to give a huge shout out to everyone making mental health a priority in their lives and in the lives of others. 🧠 A shout out to those checking in on their mates, those accessing therapy, and the workplaces putting real policies into place to support mental wellbeing. 👏 To the friends, colleagues, and employers creating environments where people feel heard and valued, and to everyone out there taking steps - big or small - towards better mental health. Your efforts are making a difference. 🖤 Let’s continue to support, listen, and uplift each other, today and every day.

In the hustle of hospitality, it’s easy to forget that time off and moments with family are essential to our health and wellbeing. Taking time to recharge, connect with loved ones, and focus on your mental health isn’t a luxury - it’s a necessity. 💡 Whether it's a quiet moment at home or an adventure with family, making space for yourself is key to thriving, not just surviving.
