We're looking for a volunteer to support our golf fundraising activities. ⛳ We want to hear from anyone who's passionate about fundraising, is comfortable using a computer and loves golf! You'll be helping with things like: 🏌️ Promoting our very own range of Christie golfing merchandise 🛒 Keeping an eye on our stock and make sure we're always topped up 💌 Getting fundraising packs out to keen golfers and clubs 🤝 Researching and building relationships with local players and golf clubs If this sounds like the role for you, please get in touch! On Saturday 4 January, Sarah Harding’s consultant Dr Sacha Howell from The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, will take part in a special 5km run to raise funds for The Christie Charity Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal. Girls Aloud singer, model and actress, Sarah Harding died in September 2021 age 39, following a diagnosis of breast cancer. Her memory continues to inspire groundbreaking work in breast cancer research, via an innovative study called BCAN-RAY (Breast Cancer Risk Assessment in Young Women) study, led by Dr Howell who was Sarah’s consultant during her treatment at The Christie. Dr Howell decided to get involved directly with the fundraising for this vital cause so he will be competing in a race titled Walk (Run) This Way at SportCity, to raise funds for The Christie Charity’s Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal.
