In today’s marketing landscape, companies can treat #SEO and #PR as separate endeavours. However, rather than seeing the two as separate entities requiring different agency expertise, they are, in many ways, inextricably linked. When we consider the difficult macroeconomic environment we’re living through, it begs the question: why not just do both with one agency? 🤔 👉 Learn more in our latest blog:

One of our favourite parts of working in #PR is accompanying clients to awards events and celebrating their hard work and innovation. It’s even better when they walk away with a big win, as Endace did last night at the Computing Security Awards.🏆 With the prize for Security Hardware Solution of the Year firmly under their arms, Ilona Hitel and the team had plenty to celebrate. Congratulations to all the winners last night. A special shoutout to the emerging and #scaling cybersecurity brands that took home an award.💪 Stuart Wilson, Stephen Tsirtsonis, Mark Evans, Jennifer Reid Leah Jones

At ScaleUp Group’s recent tech funding event, the audience heard how “some funds see 500-1,000 pitches per year and may only invest in 2-3”, with investors learning the lessons of 2021/22 and only interested in capital-efficient companies. As the effects of these financial difficulties have trickled down in the last 18 months, many marketing teams now have the 2025 challenge of growing revenue and promoting their brand, but with a smaller budget and team. Sound familiar? Our latest blog helps to dispel some common myths for using an agency to overcome these challenges. If you have been told you need a minimum retainer to onboard a marketing or PR partner, or that lead generation isn’t at the heart of your campaigns, you might find this interesting reading. Discover the full list of busted myths below.

From attending events to strategising with clients, it’s been a busy week out and about for the CommsCo team! ⌛ 🗣️ A key highlight of our week was attending the ScaleUp Group event on scaling and exiting a business, with a fascinating insight to milestones in an entrepreneur’s journey. John O'Connell interviewed both tech entrepreneurs Ben Parker of eflow Global and Clare Elford of Clue on their successful securing of funds with help of the ScaleUp Group. Some valuable leadership lessons also came from leading tech CEOs and entrepreneurs Matthew Elson, Vishal Marria of Quantexa, and Adam Hale, on scaling and ensuring you have “listening partners”” in the lonely role of the CEO. 📆 The same afternoon, Leah Jones, Lee Wakefield and Tomisin Fayemi met up with Carlo Cecchetto to chat over all things M-Cube. Some great plans were put in place for the remainder of 2024, as well as exciting developments to come in 2025. 🎤 On Thursday, Leah took an early train to Manchester to support the Peak team during AltitudeX. An excellent lineup of speakers and insights made this undoubtedly the best AltitudeX yet! Phew. We made it. Now bring on the weekend!

Last month, we celebrated the launch of Andrew Burgess’ new book, ‘The Executive Guide to AI’. Throughout the evening, we quizzed attendees on a whole range of opinions, predictions and misconceptions on #AI – and the results were fascinating. Attendees were asked questions ranging from whether AI can ever create something that moves us emotionally, if more regulation is needed, and what role artificial intelligence may play in their jobs five years down the line. In the latest episode of The CommsCo Tech Chat, you’ll hear those various conversations and Tomisin Fayemi and Lee Wakefield’s rundown of the evening, as well as their own, less-expert opinions on where AI is heading. Delve deeper into the episode and listen in full below.

CommsCo is on the move! 🏠 But don’t worry, we haven’t moved far. In fact, we’re now in Richmond, just over a mile away from our previous home. What can we say? We’re big fans of the area. We have now settled into our new offices right by Richmond station – at 50 George Street 💪 If you are in the area and fancy a coffee or a pint, give us a shout.
