We’re a drama-based training company specialising in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) in the workplace. We help organisations build inclusive cultures that allow everyone to reach their full potential. Or, to put it another way, we build belonging. Easy to say, less easy to show. Unless you are a drama-based DEIB training company with a studio, actor coaches, and a brilliant production team. Take a look at our new video. And if you want to talk to us about how we can help your organisation build belonging, get in touch! https://lnkd.in/eTZu3zkx #inclusion #equity #diversity #belonging #deib #deib #edi #inclusiveworkplace #inclusionanddiversity #inclusiveculture #inclusiveleadership #psychologicalsafety #allyship #inclusivecommunications **Video description:** Do you want to help your organisation create a culture where everyone feels that they belong? In this video, we explore how building belonging drives growth, what happens when employees feel marginalised, and how our bespoke approach helps organisations build inclusive cultures where psychological safety and allyship are built in.

About us
We’re a drama-based training company specialising in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB). We help organisations build inclusive cultures that allow everyone to reach their full potential at work. OUR MISSION IS TO BUILD BELONGING IN WORKPLACES EVERYWHERE. What if everyone felt like they belonged in their workplace? If, regardless of heritage, race, gender, sexuality, beliefs or perceived abilities, everyone felt appreciated, accepted and supported to be their best at work, and to do their best work? When this is so organisations grow because such an inclusive culture leads to positive impacts on their employee recruitment, engagement and retention goals, as well as their productivity and innovation goals. When these things grow, profit does too. We believe that demonstrably increasing people’s sense of belonging at work will lead to The Communication Practice achieving our vision. OUR VISION IS OF A WORLD WHERE EVERYBODY FEELS LIKE THEY BELONG IN THEIR WORKPLACE. We exist to help co-create a world where everyone feels like they belong in the workplace. And we’re building a hub of like-minded professionals with deep expertise in DEIB, drama-based corporate training and lived experience to help make this vision a reality. OUR VALUES Our mission and vision are based on shared values, which we live and help others to live. BUILDING BELONGING: We champion equity, diversity, and inclusion so that every organisation we work with knows that each employee feels safely supported to be their best and do their best at work. INCITING INNOVATION: We bring curiosity and creativity to every interaction so that we continuously improve our services, processes, and outcomes and ensure that everyone feels like they belong. CULTIVATING COMPASSION: We listen to, understand, empathise with, and take action to support organisations to ensure all employees feel a sense of belonging within the workplace. If our values chime with yours, please GET IN TOUCH!

That is officially a wrap. Well, here we are at the end of The Communication Practice, my drama-based DEIB training company's third year and what a difference that year has made. With thanks to our talented team comprising of Elizabeth Twells, Shamia Chalabi, Rina Mahoney, Julia Montague, Peter Winnall, james lailey, Lauren Anthony, Mike Rogers, Rajneet Sidhu she/her, Deni Francis, Kate Copeland and partners, including Junaid Faizullah-Ward, Lightbox Film, Jo Stansfield, Inclusioneering Limited we've experienced our best year yet. My highlights? Growing our income by 100% Securing our foothold in the insurance sector with two new clients Welcoming new clients from new sectors Delivering inclusive leadership training programmes to over 150 leaders Consistently having our sessions rated at 4+ Stars Registering our business as an LLP to enable further growth The fantastic Nicki Hayes stepping up into a partner role Being ready to showcase a new service in 2025 On a personal level, my book, An Actor's Guide to Corporate Role Play, being published by Bloomsbury Publishing Plc. And all of this has happened organically, mainly off the back of existing clients' recommendations. Thank you all. You know who you are. When Antony Quinn and I started on this journey in October 2021, we did so fuelled by the shared belief that true inclusivity could elevate human behaviour and business performance. We knew that if we could help organisations build belonging, they - and we - would grow, and not just at a financial level. We were right. See below for our origin story (https://lnkd.in/eVu7hPPH Curious about our new service? Follow The Communication Practice to be among the first to know. Seasonal greetings and Happy New Year, one and all! #WeBuildBelonging #DEIB #EDI #dramabasedtraining #inclusionmatters #inclusion

Kicking off #BlackHistoryMonth by attending the iCAN: The Insurance Cultural Awareness Network event last night was a truly inspiring experience. Hosted by our friends at BMS Group and supported by sponsors Markel, CNA Insurance, The Hartford and Tokio Marine Group, the event was a perfect reminder of why our work in #Equity, #Diversity, #Inclusion and #Belonging is so important. David Olusoga's powerful storytelling, introduced with Ian Gormley's trademark warmth and thoughtfulness, brought to light Britain's rich but often overlooked diverse heritage. He masterfully navigated the two sides of black history—the achievements worth celebrating and the deliberately created racial myths that still affect us today. Attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose, inspired to create real change. David O. shared, "What has been constructed can be deconstructed, but it's a job of work. It will take years to recognise these stories and trajectories still exist. To be free of these, we must first recognise them, then demolish them.” In response to those who continue to hold onto these myths, he poignantly remarked, "They clearly haven't met many young people. A generation of people have emerged who recognise that not all history is celebratory and are committed to uncovering the whole truth, even the uncomfortable parts." This event is a powerful reminder of the work we still need to do — and the collective commitment to get it done. We’re in, are you? A huge thank you to Louisa Erwin, Echaunti Swan, Sean tibby, and everyone else involved in organising this insightful and impactful evening. We move forward together, stronger, and more determined than ever to make a difference. #EDI #BlackHistory #Community #Progress #WeBuildBelonging **Image Description:** A collage of four photographs from the iCAN: The Insurance Cultural Awareness Network Black History Month event. It's #NationalInclusionWeek, and this year's theme is #ImpactMatters, so we will be celebrating people and resources within the #DEIB community who are making an impact. Here's something that will amplify the impact of #DEIB within the built environment sector, Building Inclusion - The Book, by Marsha Ramroop FRSA FIEDP. Marsha is a true innovator in this space. Along with her colleagues at Unheard Voice, she is doing truly transformative work using cultural intelligence to deliver #EDI goals. In fact, we're so impressed by this approach and this book that we're proud to announce our sponsorship of the London book launch event next month. Watch this space ...
