It’s been a busy and exciting start to the year at The English Soap Company! We’ve had the pleasure of attending several trade shows already, meeting with customers—both familiar faces and new connections. These events have been a fantastic opportunity to showcase our latest products, share ideas, and get inspired for what’s ahead. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for not one, but two awards at this year’s 2024 Sussex Business Awards. As our business continues to grow and evolve, we are honoured to be recognised with accolades such as these. We extend our congratulations to all nominees in both the International Business of the Year and Business Growth Award categories.

Here at The English Soap Company, we have evolved beyond what our Managing Director, Oliver Butts, ever thought possible. Joining his family business in 2012 was a huge learning curve and one that he did not take lightly. Taking the company from strength to strength since then Oliver has stayed true to his ethos of surrounding himself with like-minded individuals that share his vision for the brand. This includes Ailsa Cunningham, who in 2016 joined as Operations Manager, and Susannah Atherton who joined the business as HR Manager in 2021—with their roles quickly evolving Susannah moved into the role of Chief of Staff and Ailsa to Business Development Manager. Susannah and Ailsa have remained Oliver’s right-hand people propelling the business onward. Now fast forward to the present day, and it comes with great pleasure to announce that from today Oliver will formally take the position of The English Soap Company’s CEO with Susannah moving into the position of our Managing Director and Ailsa Cunningham as Business Development Director. 

We're honoured to be shortlisted in this year's Family Entrepreneur of the Year category at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards & Community. Twenty-four years on, we’re so proud to remain a family-run business. Roll on awards night!
