The women in fintech spokesperson index, helping organisations create more diversity in panels, podcasts, and projects.

About us

The Heard is a collective of fintech experts sharing their key focuses, and the sort of spokesperson opportunities they’re open to, all in one place. Too often women are under-represented when it comes to industry panels, events, and podcasts, so we’re bringing together all the fintech players you should have heard of, but maybe haven’t just yet.

We hear so many of these stories in the industry, so if you have one and you can share it (anonymously is an option!) then please do. I think it will be eye opening to a lot of people how often such things happen. 🧡

Would you like to help us with an upcoming episode of Fintech Insider? Everyone has read stats about how hard it is for a fintech founder who is Black, Asian, other minority individual, female, both or all of the above, to raise money, be listened to, or even get meetings; we want to tell the stories of the people behind the stats. You hear horror stories of products that only respond to white hands or assistant devices that react only to male voices. We want to use our platform to highlight its impact on financial services. Have you had a negative funding experience as a Black, Asian or other minority individual or female founder? Have you been left wanting from an FS experience that doesn't work for you? If so, hit me on DM or email me at david@11FS.com. You can be involved with or without attribution.

Following their £4.5 million seed round, Christine Edwards, Chief of Staff for Sidekick (and member of The Heard) shared with us the vision for democratised wealth management. 👀 Working in wealth management for the past seven years, split between supporting “the wealthy” and the wealth management firms they use, Christine has personally seen a lot of change in the sector. The industry is becoming increasingly accessible, both out of consumer need and operational necessity. You can read the full piece here: https://lnkd.in/eTTkKwTj 🚀

An amazing initiative to profile the contributions of women working in technology, the deadline for this is midnight tomorrow! 🤯 🕰 We've only just discovered Digital Women this morning (where have we been!?) but if you have some time today to reflect and put together a submission, it will be time well spent. 🧡 It's free to enter, and free to win (no sneaky fees to accept the award). A great campaign!
