✨ New Appointment | Harris Your Place ✨ We’re excited to announce our partnership with Preston City Council and Ralph Appelbaum Associates (RAA) as Principal Contractor for the exhibition fit-out of The Harris, Preston’s Grade I listed art gallery, museum and library. Building on our previous work in The Family Library at The Harris, drawing and manufacturing some amazing set-works. We’re proud to be part of this remarkable transformation. Collaborating with our sub-contractors and client direct appointments, we’ll seamlessly bring Preston’s hidden treasures to light, creating an engaging and inspiring destination for culture, exhibitions, and collections. ✨ Grand Opening | Egyptian Rooms ✨ We’re proud to celebrate the grand opening of the Egyptian Rooms, marking the remarkable transformation of Oldham's historic Grade II listed town hall into a striking dining destination. As Principal Contractor for this multi-million-pound design and build redevelopment project, we collaborated closely with Oldham Council, Turner & Townsend, BDP (Building Design Partnership Ltd) and Heritage Project Management to develop a design that functions with modern-day requirements whilst capturing the striking beauty of the Victorian landmark. Bringing a piece of Oldham's heritage back to life after lying dormant for nearly 40 years. Our experienced team meticulously managed and coordinated every stage, from structural alterations to an extensive MEP installation including upgrading the incoming mains supply, wall and ceiling finishes, flooring, maintaining and restoring heritage features, and interior fit-out. Working alongside HNA Architects Ltd we preserved the building’s architectural heritage, crafting innovative solutions to highlight its Victorian features while incorporating modern functionality. Resulting in a vibrant food hall featuring eateries, bars, a mezzanine area, and seating for 150 guests – blending heritage charm with contemporary style. ✨ New Opening | Versailles: Science and Splendour ✨ We’re thrilled to continue our collaboration with the Science Museum Group, completing the exhibition fit-out for their latest landmark exhibition. This fascinating journey through history transports visitors to the grandeur of the French royal court, showcasing how science shaped power at the Palace of Versailles during the 17th and 18th centuries. 🏛 Appointed under a two-stage contract, we worked transparently and collaboratively with the Science Museum to develop an exhibition design that marries exceptional quality with budgetary efficiency. The result is a grand showcase of remarkable objects, some displayed outside France for the very first time. A standout feature is the Rhino plinth, a dramatic exhibit for Louis XV’s rhinoceros, and the hexagonal projection room – a testament to our team’s technical expertise. To support the museum's sustainability goals, the exhibition was created using a selection of materials from the museum's existing stock. This included creating a wrap-around projection display with supporting object displays, offering visitors an awe-inspiring digital rendition of a hot air balloon flight and fireworks at Versailles.🎆 We are proud to have partnered with our main sub-contractor, 🎨 Graphics – Displayways Ltd. Throwback Thursday | Lion Salt Works 🧂 The restoration of the historic Lion Salt Works transformed the country’s last open-pan salt-making site into an immersive visitor experience. As a sub-contractor for the exhibition fit-out for West Cheshire Museums, we developed scenic recreations that blend seamlessly with the historic building, creating interactive displays that bring the salt-making process to life. Visitors can now explore the rich history and its impact on mid-Cheshire's people. Throwback Thursday | South Asia Gallery 🏛️ In 2023, we played a key role in the new South Asia Gallery at Manchester Museum, celebrating the impactful female figures of the Mughal Empire and their influence on the British Empire and British Asian identity today. Collaborating with the museum and architects, Studio C102, our interiors team delivered a comprehensive enabling works package and exhibition fit-out. Key works included: Partitions and Doors AV and Data Installation Rebalancing the Ventilation System Electrical and Lighting Decoration and Finishes Bespoke Joinery and Furniture The new gallery creates an inspiring space for visitors to celebrate and learn about South Asian and British Asian Culture. Throwback Thursday | With Rifles to Waterloo ⚔️ In celebration of the bi-centenary of the Battle of Waterloo, we had the honour of serving as Principal Contractor for the With Rifles to Waterloo exhibition at the Royal Green Jackets Museum. Collaborating with Designmap Ltd, our team delivered an engaging exhibition and teaching space. One of the highlights was the intricate diorama of the Waterloo battlefield. We worked closely with model makers, ensuring the showcases and plinths were designed to enhance the model while coordinating lighting and display elements for seamless integration.
