A huge thank you to our incredible team members who took part in baking delicious cakes for our charity bake sale!🍦 The purpose of this initiative was to raise funds for our Giving Something Back Taskforce, a committee at The Landmark London where each team member has the opportunity to come together and share creative ideas to raise money for meaningful causes. This initiative is a vital part of our culture, reinforcing the values of teamwork and social responsibility. The funds raised from this event will support DEBRA UK, a charity dedicated to helping children with the rare and painful butterfly skin condition. Last week, our Heads of Departments had the valuable opportunity to go "Back to the Floor" and spend the afternoon immersing themselves in different roles across the hotel. This experience allowed them to gain deeper insights into the daily operations of various departments, while also fostering a greater sense of empathy and understanding within our team. I am In-Room Dining Manager at The Landmark London, where I oversee our in-room dining service. My focus is on delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests right in the comfort of their rooms. It’s a true honor to create a warm and personalized atmosphere that enhances their stay. 💜What is your proudest moment in your career or life? One of my most significant achievements was successfully guiding my team through a major departmental transition, which greatly improved our in-room dining service and offerings. Although it was a challenging journey, witnessing my team's dedication made it incredibly fulfilling. This experience reinforced my belief in the power of teamwork to create outstanding experiences, and I was proud to be recognized as Leader of the Year! 💜Who is your female role model or inspiration? As a supervisor at The Great Central Pub by Matt Fletcher, my role involves overseeing the daily operations of the pub, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for both guests and staff, and maintaining high service standards. I strive to lead by example, creating an inclusive and respectful atmosphere for all, as well as ensuring that everyone has fun while doing so. 💜What is your proudest moment in your career or life? My proudest moment in my career was when I took on more responsibility in my role and led my team through a particularly challenging situation. It felt fulfilling to see my team succeed through hard work and collaboration, knowing I contributed to creating an exceptional experience for our guests. 💜Who is your female role model or inspiration? Rosa Parks is a huge inspiration to me. Her courage in the face of adversity, her commitment to standing up for what is right, and her pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement have always motivated me.
