🤔❓Did you know legal requirements mean that you can’t operate a machine with an abrasive wheel without being trained? 🤔 The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations Act 1998 (PUWER) determines abrasive wheels regulations, with an aim to keep workers safe while using equipment and machinery. Under Abrasive Wheels, the PUWER Act states: “Anyone whose job requires them to use the equipment OR carry out repairs or modifications to equipment, OR to perform maintenance work or servicing operations must be properly trained to do so.” ❗Abrasive wheels are extremely dangerous❗ The only way risk can be reduced is through comprehensive training.
