🌈🪐Say No To Gender Stereotypes! The aliens from Alien Nation have landed at The Proud Place, and they're here to rip up the gender rules, so everyone can be who they are! Come along to our Alien Adventures Family Day, where your young person can explore gender stereotypes, expectations and identity in an age appropriate way. We will be launching our Alien Nation short film, based on our book! There will be cake, face painting and lots of freebies (who doesn't love something free?!) and helpful advice if you need it. The alien's can't wait to say hi! Get your tickets here: https://buff.ly/3QZJ6ji [ID: (1) Teal graphic with planet girl and planet boy from Alien Nation. Text: SAY NO TO GENDER STEREOTYPES. (2) Teal graphic with planet girl and planet boy from Alien Nation and a white bubble. Text: Children are often told from an early age which gender box they belong in, which clothes they are expected to wear, the colours they are expected to like and the toys they are supposed to play with. Have a chat with your young person about these points and if they think any apply to them. (3) Teal graphic with the girl planet, boy planet and non-binary planets. Text: By letting your young person know they can be who they want to be and wear what they want to wear no matter their gender, it means we can work to break down stereotypes.
