Young patients benefit from another Goodyear gift “I remember being in hospital with my own grandson and the distress caused when the medics couldn’t find a vein to insert a cannula.” Motivated by this upsetting memory, as well as a desire to recognise the “amazing people who make up our NHS,” former Goodyear factory workers have once again supported The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. 📰 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eNc3hBZT

Our mission is to make a real difference by providing additional resources above and beyond that provided by the NHS.
About us
Our Charity makes a real difference to our patients, their families and the staff that treat them above and beyond that provided by the NHS. We support the Trust’s Vision to be an organisation striving continuously to improve patient experience and outcomes - to be safe and effective, kind and caring and exceeding expectation. We would not be able to continue supporting the Trust without the kind generosity of our supporters. They have helped us to provide: •Additional patient comforts – better quality comfortable furniture, additional furniture such as parental beds on the Children’s Ward and special support cushions used during radiation therapy •More advanced, specialist pieces of equipment, not generally provided by the NHS for example a linear accelerator for the advanced treatment of cancer patients •Items that improve the environment/ambience and patient experience •Opportunities to further medical knowledge through research •Children’s books and toys •TVs, DVDs and other patient entertainment media

A lovely surprise from Constellation Cold Logistics UK in Wolverhampton when they chose us as their Charity for Christmas. Staff held raffles and competitions, as well as head office adding funds to buy toys for our children's ward at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust over Christmas. We are very grateful and know the gifts will bring smiles to those away from family at this magical time.

Capital Group Limited of Kingswinford supplied an individual sack of toys and goodies to each of the 27 children currently receiving treatment for the disease at New Cross Hospital. Each sack of goodies contained a Capital-branded teddy bear and sweets but the rest of the presents were age appropriate for the patients. 📰 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/erEeMS2D

Generous staff from the Orthotics department at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust decided they wanted to give back to patients this year. Treats, blankets and fluffy socks were amongst the three hampers full of presents for our elderly patients on Ward C39. Orthotics Manager, Dr Nicky Eddison said, “I am extremely proud of the Orthotics team for volunteering to come together and consider how we can support our patients over the Christmas period.” “Their dedication to our patients is inspiring. The gifts they have donated will be gratefully received by our elderly patients who will be spending Christmas in hospital this year.” A huge thank you to everyone involved 🥰
