I learnt these principles on the COUNTDOWN project and it transformed the way I engage with various stakeholders particularly for as Africans its that place of power balance, constant reflection about our position and stepping back to really empower and give a voice to the voiceless. I would encourage not just researchers but anyone looking to make a difference in their community to be a part of this training.

🎉 Celebrating 2 Years of the Stop, Collaborate and Listen Agency! 🎉 This week marks a major milestone – The SCL Agency Ltd turns two years old! 🥳 Kim and I, Sarah Glover, want to extend our heartfelt thanks to every one of our wonderful clients, our dynamic associate team, everyone who has attended one of our teaching sessions, and all who have taken part in our workshops, interviews, and research projects. You’ve all been a part of this journey, and we couldn’t have reached this point without you! Over the last two years, we’ve honed our focus into three main strands: 1️⃣ Research and Evaluation: Supporting organisations to gather meaningful insights that inform change. 2️⃣   Teaching: Equipping others with the skills to understand and engage with communities in an inclusive and participatory way. 3️⃣  Dissemination (including research podcasting): Sharing knowledge in accessible, creative formats that make a real impact. Our brand has evolved, and we’re excited to share our refreshed look as part of our celebrations! The updated logo reflects our growth as a unique set of people and skills – delivering insightful and creative approaches to co-production, participatory research, and learning. At SCL, we’ve always been driven by the idea that everyone has a voice, and that voice should be at the heart of everything we do. This is why Stop, Collaborate and Listen isn’t just our name; it’s our philosophy – bringing people to the centre of every project to ensure that all perspectives are valued, and true collaboration leads the way. Stay tuned over the next few weeks for more exciting announcements about how we’re continuing to evolve! #SCLAgency #HappyBirthday #ParticipatoryResearch #CoProduction #ResearchPodcasting #BrandRefresh #CelebratingSuccess

It is an absolute privilege to support the 90th anniversary commemorations of the Gresford Colliery disaster, a tragedy that claimed the lives of 266 men and boys in Wrexham on September 22nd 1934. This event remains deeply significant in our local history, shaping the community’s resilience and identity. Being able to learn more about this pivotal moment and meeting two incredible figures in the preservation of Wrexham's social history, Alan and Margaret Jones from the Wrexham Miners Project, was truly inspiring. Their dedication to keeping these stories alive is a powerful reminder of the importance of understanding our past to shape a stronger future. If you’re interested in hearing more about their work and the legacy of the Gresford disaster and how the Civic Mission from Wrexham University has been involved, check out the latest episode of Wrexham Rising, where I explore this history and its impact on future generations: 👂🎙️👉https://bit.ly/Wxm_E3 #WrexhamRising #CommunityResilience #SocialHistory #LocalHistory #Gresford Prifysgol Wrecsam Prifysgol Wrecsam Cenhadaeth Ddinesig / Wrexham University Civic Mission Sonia John Nina Ruddle Sarah Harvey Wrexham AFC Wrexham Miners Project
