⚽ 🤝 ⚽ RSP: Discover Football ⚽ 🤝 ⚽ https://lnkd.in/ex-ARGe6 As part of our #RefugeeSportsProfiles series at The Sports Effect, we are thrilled to highlight the incredible work of Discover Football – a German-based NGO using football as a tool for social change, with a focus on empowering #women and #marginalized groups, including #refugees. Discover Football organizes international football festivals that bring together women and non-binary individuals from diverse backgrounds to play, learn, and connect. Their mission is to create a world where women can engage in sport free from discrimination. They also focus on equipping younger refugee women with skills and certifications to thrive in youth development. 🚀 Key Lessons Learned: - Strong local partnerships are crucial for meaningful change. - Sport is a powerful tool to tackle gender-based discrimination. - Every project must be tailored to local needs, which can present challenges in planning and evaluation. 📍 With festivals happening worldwide, including an upcoming event in Turkey, Discover Football continues to build pathways for development through football, offering opportunities for coaching, community leadership, and professional growth. ✒ Join our webinar https://lnkd.in/eS_-bvvX 🌍on 21st October 1300 CET to learn more about their approach and 13 other organisations around the world. This is a community event hosted by Sports Effect in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Yunus Sports Hub, Follow us for more insights into inspiring refugee sports clubs around the world! 🌍⚽ #RefugeeSports #SportsForGood #DiscoverFootball #EmpoweringWomen #TheSportsEffect #InclusionThroughSport #FootballForChange #GenderEquality #RefugeeSupport
