  • THIS IS NOT A DRILL 📢 I love ❤️ this Campaign by CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) 💔 👉 Did you know that across Canada, the US, and the UK, roughly 75% of deaths by suicide are men? 😞 👉 In the UK, suicide is the leading cause of death for men under the age of 50. 👉 In the USA, suicide ranks as the 2nd most common cause of death for men under the age of 45. 💬 The CALM campaign is doing an incredible job in raising awareness and encouraging men to talk about their struggles. 🧠 Thanks John Crozier for recommending. For us, football isn’t just about what happens on the pitch. It’s about what it can do in the world. 🌍 Sure, we're focused on developing world-class talent. But we're equally passionate about nurturing people who want to make their communities better. Taking that football energy and channeling it into changing lives, giving back, and leaving a lasting impact on society. This runs deep in our DNA. 🧬 And we see it every day through everyone in our community. Young players growing into leaders. Staff launching projects that matter. Partners stepping up to drive change. ✨ And the 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 is one way we bring this vision to life. Powered by the Mansour family as part of their give back contribution to Common Goal, the Purpose Entrepreneurship Program is a platform for social entrepreneurs and individuals who want to tackle real problems and make their communities better through purpose-driven projects. Over the past two years, five changemakers from our community have rolled out projects that disrupted the status quo, whether by opening doors for differently-abled individuals, empowering young farmers, or giving girls and women a platform to break barriers. In 2025, we’re supporting five new projects selected from a range of incredible ideas proposed by our community:  𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀: 🌱 Akwaaba Foundation: Addressing youth unemployment in Ghana by equipping young people with skills that enhance literacy and employability. ♻️ Suame GH: Using sports to educate communities in Ghana on waste management and plastic recycling. 🐟 Bluewaters Fishery: Fighting malnutrition with sustainable fish rearing in Akrade, Ghana, using the reservoir method. 🌳 Aya Collective: Funding scholarships while supporting rural women through harvesting and distributing baobab powder from Northern Ghana. 🔥 Lycoklin: Turning agricultural waste into eco-friendly charcoal briquettes, promoting sustainability and creating jobs in Ghana. Each project gets up to $20k in funding. 💰 But we don’t stop there. We back these changemakers with: 🤝 Mentors who’ve been there before. 📚 Workshops that support their journeys. 🧠 Trustees who bring valuable expertise. 🌐 Networking opportunities within a wider community. This ecosystem of support creates ripples of change, ensuring we’ve used what we’ve built as a community for something bigger. Because years from now, we don’t want to just be counting trophies. 🏆 We want to celebrate the communities transformed, the changemakers empowered, and the lives changed. That's the real legacy we're building. 🌟

YAWN! 🥱 So many sports have the same post "<Insert Sport> is good for you..." However Skateistan look at why their sport is good for mental health, looking at the *UNIQUE* elements of skateboarding that make it great. Different sports have different strengths, and sometimes sport is NOT the right tool at all. In many situations it is, but it has to be used intentionally. Well done Hala Khalaf and the Skateistan team for leading the way as usual. #sportsfordevelopment The Sports Effect #sportsforgood #skateboarding #goodpush #worldonboard
