About us
The Usual Place is a not-for-profit social enterprise which operates as a community cafe in the heart of Dumfries. The Usual Place is a training institute, giving young people with additional support needs the opportunity to earn their SVQ qualification in a real-world work environment. We offer four SVQs in Professional Cookery, Hospitality Services, Retail Services and Facilities Skills. Our young people are supported by a dedicated team of staff and mentors.
