Last year, Ameesha coached the amazing career strategist Elena Rezanova to write her book "What's Next?" and we are so pleased to see it published! A huge congratulations to Elena! This book is ideal for anyone wrestling with the big career questions like "what do I really want from my career?" and "where should I go next?" But unlike other career books, you won't get the same old "follow your passion" advice or generic suggestions. Instead, Elena offers a systems thinking approach to career development that will help you find a career that truly aligns with who you are. So if you're feeling lost and uncertain on your career path, this is the book for you! #newbooks #nonfiction #careerpaths #careerquestions #careercoach
After two years of work, it feels almost surreal to finally say this: What's Next? is officially out! 🎉 Here’s something interesting: nearly everyone along the way—including the cover designer—suggested that I swap out the word 'achievers' for something more neutral, something broader, to appeal to a wider audience. But here's the thing: this book was written for one specific audience I know well, the one I’ve worked with for years—the strivers, the driven hard workers with a sense of purpose, the great performers. Those who excel at making things happen and make countless decisions at work, but find themselves puzzled when it comes to deciding what's next for themselves. I wrote this book for you because I admire how responsible you are for everything in your life. I love your dedication and your perfectionism. You've invested so much of yourself in what you do, and I have immense respect for that. Helping you is so rewarding. Once you figure yourself out and channel your energy in the right direction, good things multiply! The energy in your team improves, your customers benefit, and people feel great around you at work. Isn't that cool? So, this is my heartfelt message to all of you—the ones who inspire me endlessly. You are the reason I wrote this book, and I’m beyond excited to finally share it with the world today! You can check it out on Amazon: https://a.co/d/5gt3ImL

It’s not every night that you get to present awards on stage… …and say a huge congratulations to the winners of the Business Book Awards! On Thursday evening last week, hundreds of authors and their publishers and loved ones gathered in The Drum arena at Wembley to celebrate great books. With categories focusing on change and sustainability, EDI, leadership, wellbeing and work-life balance, the aim really is to change readers’ lives and change the world. That’s why I love being part of the awards and felt very honoured to be there. This year, I was head judge for the “Work and Life” category and got to present the “highly commended” award on stage to the very joyful Beth Stallwood, author of “WorkJoy!” My co-judge Chet Morjaria collected the winner’s award on behalf of Kate Toon for her brilliant book “Six Figures in School Hours”. Kate unfortunately couldn’t attend but her award will be winging its way to Australia, and I look forward to reading Kate's new book "Six Figures While You Sleep". A massive well done to all of the winners, and indeed to every author who has written a book to make a difference in the world. We were particularly proud of our author Jim Shirley for being a finalist with his book “The Startup Fundraising MBA”. Here’s to the books that change the world, and the authors who write them! 📚 🏆 #businessbookawards #bba2024 #nonfiction #businessbooks #celebrate Photos credit to Edwin Ladd.

We loved working with award-winning author Radim Malinic 📖 on his beautiful books "Mindful Creative" and "Creativity for Sale". We can't believe it's been a year since they were published, and it's been cool to see Radim's related podcast launch since then. For an insight into what's it like to publish a book, check out his post below... especially the bit where he says how rewarding it is. 😊 #authors #nonfiction #books #publishing

One year ago, today. Press-pass for Creativity for Sale + Mindful Creative 📚 2x 2 PMS colours 🟡🟢 🟠🔴 2x 42,000 sheets of paper 2x 5000 sheets of cover stock 1x feeling of knowing to let go of any apprehension or worry 😵💫 I've set out to do things I hadn't done before with my books and this was the big moment of truth. Publishing two books at once? Let's make the headache as big as possible. Having an idea to print all copy out of Pantone colours, going neon on the covers, and trying to figure out how to make valuable content the most inviting and accessible. To see it on press and holding the fresh sheets as they come off the press can be filled with anxiety and worry about any mistakes, typos or simply worrying about design choices. I had to learn to let go and accept the present moment, enjoy it and look forward to the next step - the book launch, promo, talks and the podcast. There's no point looking back, we only go forward. Running an indie publishing imprint (a fancy way of saying I'm doing this on my own with the occasional help of some incredible talent) it can be exhilarating but also exhausting. But I wouldn't change it for the world. It's one of the most rewarding experiences of my career so far. Thanks to Emily Melling for providing illustrations for both books, Inês Segadães for the initial test design work when none of it was making any sense long time ago, Ameesha G. for stellar edits, Peter Appleton and Park Communications Ltd. for their sustainable print solution and exceptional customer service, CBL DISTRIBUTION LIMITED Alex Robertson and Pippa Simpson for getting these books in bookstore and online retailers. Thank you 🙏 for getting one or both of these books, or even all six of them so far. #books #publishing #printisnotdead
