☕️💛 Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Coffee Morning in support of Prospect Hospice! 💛☕️ We’re thrilled to share that our Coffee Morning for Prospect Hospice raised over £1,500 through cash donations and our JustGiving page! 🧁☕️ A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our raffle – there were some fabulous prizes, and lots of lucky winners! 🎟️🎁 Last week, we were fortunate to have Prospect Hospice visit the Central Team at our Swindon Head Office, where they shared the valuable work they do. 🌟 Supporting Our Local Community with Prospect Hospice 🌟   At The CFO Centre, we believe in giving back to the community, and we’re proud to support Prospect Hospice, a charity that provides compassionate, personalised care for individuals and families affected by life-limiting illnesses. Despite rising costs, their funding from the NHS has not increased in 10 years, leaving them to raise three-quarters of their budget on their own.   We’re hosting our Coffee & Cake Morning on Monday, 30th September in support of Prospect Hospice. 🎂☕ While the event is about raising awareness, you can help make a real difference by donating to this incredible cause through our Just Giving page.   💡 Did you know? The hospice’s inpatient unit has reduced from 12 to 6 beds due to funding shortages. Yet, the need for their services is greater than ever. We are thrilled to see the tangible impact we've made in such a short time, and are excited about the potential for even greater success as our partnership continues to grow. Here's to a bright and prosperous future working together! "I approached the CFO group during a period where we were without a Financial Director, as it was quite appealing to have support from a highly experienced commercial FD/CFO part time, for a fraction of a price of a full time Financial Director. As a company we understood how essential the role was for the future growth of the company, but for the size of our company, we just wouldn’t be able to support the Salary of the correct person. I did initially have doubts about the payback we would get from working with the CFO group, however I decided that it would be worth exploring. We were assigned Khalid Zaman, who coincidentally had experience in Aerospace, with a strong commercial background and having served time as the FD for many BAE Systems businesses globally, with Aerospace being our target market. It couldn’t have worked out better. We’ve been working with Khalid on a weekly basis for the past 3 months, and I can confidently say it was one of the best business decisions we made. In a very short amount of time we have made huge progress. We have got to a position where we have accurate cash flow forecasts, a solid business plan for the next 5 years, supported by solid financial forecasts. Khalid provides constructive challenge, and his proactive nature and out of the box thinking has changed the way we operate. from an accounting point of view, bringing in a more project accounting-based method of forecasting and management of the business and contracts, which is perfect for our business. I can’t praise Khalid enough for the impact he has had on the business from day one, his contribution has helped us to start to think differently and bigger and is genuinely helping us to plan the bright future of Futura Systems by understanding the levers to pull to add value within our group. We no longer look month by month, we are now looking 5 years plus ahead, which gives us an exciting future."
