⭐ Celebrating our Alumni for the Data Lab Academy 2023/24 – This week we spotlight Lina Rietuma, Data Science Consultant at Blend ⭐ Līna moved to Edinburgh in 2016 to pursue a BSc in Genetics, which later evolved into an MSc in Data Science at Heriot-Watt University with the support of The Data Lab’s scholarship. This scholarship led to an exciting opportunity to collaborate with the Scottish EdTech company Sumdog for her dissertation project. After graduation, Līna’s role as a Junior Data Scientist at Sumdog was instrumental in securing her current job at Blend as a Data Science Consultant. Here, she’s been involved in projects across the energy and healthcare sectors, helping our clients tackle data challenges while continuously enhancing my own data skills. In her free time, Līna teaches Latvian folk dance and often performs in concerts locally and across Europe.
