We are delighted that SHS Drinks have joined The Jockey Club as an Associate Partner! With a heritage rooted in iconic brands, SHS Drinks is one of the most successful independent manufacturers of premium alcoholic and soft drinks with its brands including Shloer, bottlegreen and WKD. The association between SHS Drinks, which is based just outside Cheltenham, and The Jockey Club began in 2011, when the company first sponsored the Grade Two Shloer Chase at The November Meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse. As part of the new Associate Partnership, the Shloer Chase, which has been won by great names such as Sprinter Sacre, Put The Kettle On and Jonbon, will be moved to the Friday of The November Meeting, Countryside Day, having been previously been run on the Sunday. The next in our ‘Meet the Partners’ series is TrustATrader who sponsor races across all 15 of The Jockey Club Racecourses, from races at the grassroots level right the way through to contests at three of our flagship festivals the Cheltenham Racecourse Festival, the Randox Grand National at Aintree Racecourse and The Betfred Derby at Epsom Downs Racecourse. 1.    𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤?   We’re TrustATrader, one of the UK’s favourite online directories for finding trusted tradespeople. From plumbing to electrical work, and everything in between, we connect homeowners with skilled professionals who have been thoroughly vetted to ensure quality and reliability. Based across the UK, we’re here to make sure people find the right tradesperson for the job, every time. Trust is at the heart of everything we do, which is why thousands of people turn to us each year when they need work done – and our traders’ 5-star reviews certainly reflect this!   2.    𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙅𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙮 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗?   Partnering with The Jockey Club felt like a natural fit for us, not just as a way to connect with our customers and members, but because we share the same core values – trust, reliability, and excellence. TrustATrader takes pride in delivering a high-quality service, just as The Jockey Club takes pride in maintaining the highest standards in racing.   On a personal level, our team has a real passion for horse racing, so this partnership was a great move for us in more ways than one.   3.    𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚/𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥/𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥?   We've had the privilege of sponsoring some truly memorable events, including some big races at Cheltenham, The Grand National and more, which has which has allowed us to increase our brand awareness on a huge scale.   However, one of our top moments has to be when Harry Redknapp’s horse, Shakem Up’Arry, won the TrustATrader Plate Handicap Chase at Cheltenham Festival 2024. Being a part of Redknapp’s first Cheltenham Festival win was unforgettable, topping what was already an incredible day for TrustATrader. It's a memory that will stay with us for a long time, especially when we got to meet the legend himself and present him with the award!

The next in our ‘Meet the Partners’ is Gallagher, a Community Partner of The Jockey Club who run sponsored experience days. 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼? We are Gallagher, one of the world’s largest providers of insurance, reinsurance, risk management and consulting services. Operating in 130 countries worldwide, our organisation employs more than 54,000 people globally. We are one of the leading risk management firms for the bloodstock sector and we support owners, breeders, trainers and agents with specialist insurance for every step of a horse's journey.   Our passion and commitment to bloodstock and equine insurance extends across the entire sector — we offer bespoke insurance solutions for racehorses, stallions, mares, yearlings, foals (including unborn foal cover), as well as elite competition/sports horses. Our product offering includes all risks of mortality and fertility cover, equine-related liability, and a range of other specialist covers. We can also provide property and high net worth insurance for the home, yard and outbuildings together with all motor including horseboxes.   𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯? Gallagher works with a wide range of individuals and businesses in the bloodstock sector and through this partnership we wanted to demonstrate our commitment to the industry and help The Jockey Club to further engage with younger and more diverse audiences.   Our partnership sees us work together with the collective aim of opening up the sport and the career opportunities available to young people from a broad range of backgrounds and communities to the breeding and racing industry and show them the opportunities that exist. We firmly believe horseracing is a fantastic sport and we want to encourage more youngsters who traditionally would not consider this a career choice to think about coming into the racing and thoroughbred industry.   There are hugely diverse roles available, beyond just the jockeys we see on the racecourses, all offering great future progression. We hope our series of experience days will open youngsters' eyes to these opportunities.   𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲/𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽? We have been delighted with the progress the partnership has made to date. One of our key objectives was to try and introduce this sport that we all love and cherish to as many new people as possible. It has been fantastic to see the reaction of the young people that have had the opportunity to attend one of our experience days when they can get behind the scenes of a race course, meet both the horses and people involved and see all the different roles available to get a real understanding of how exciting this industry is.
