Today we celebrate National Supported Internship Day – and in honour of this, we’ve gone orange!! 🧡 National Supported Internship Day is a national celebration of supported internships in the UK. It was created and launched in 2023 by DFN Project SEARCH and is held annually on the 27th March. The aim of National Supported Internship Day is to raise awareness of supported internships and overcome challenges to transform employment opportunities for young people with a learning disability, or autism spectrum condition, or both. At the Lancashire Careers Hub, we are proud to support DFN Project SEARCH and are pleased to say members of our team have undertaken the Employer Champion Training, which aims to support people to help spread the word with confidence about the value of supported internships and of employing young adults with a learning disability or autism spectrum condition. If you want to find out more about DFN Project Search and the wonderful work they do, please visit https://lnkd.in/dQF85R7 #InclusiveRecruitment #InspiringLancashire #SupportedInternships

A massive thank you to 🏵️ Cat Mawdsley from Northern Reach for hosting todays Teacher Encounter at The Landmark with a focus on tech and #digital and valuable inputs from Xpllore, Seriun, Bandicoot, Root Fifty-Two. Abeer’s Multiply Experience! ⭐️ Abeer enrolled onto Cromwell College's Multiply course after seeing a Facebook advert. Great to see our innovative digital hub work experience with the Lancashire Careers Hub showcased by techUK 🙌 young people loved the format and the businesses had great fun showcasing their tech and business models. Great to introduce young people to the concept of co-working - opened their eyes to a wealth of opportunities 💡💡 Thanks to all involved...and great to be rolling out to other digital hubs across Lancashire 🚀 The Careers & Enterprise Company Northern Reach Fraser House Hub #InspiringLancashire
The Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub Hub ran an innovative project to get more young people in the county engaged with the tech sector. A cohort of Year 9 pupils were invited to explore the Fraser House Hub tech co-working space in Lancaster, where they also got the chance to interview some of the tech entrepreneurs based there. ⚡ They were then tasked with presenting their experience of visiting the co-working space back to the founders they had met via their own personal pitch decks. The success of the Fraser House pilot has resulted in plans to roll-out the format in other locations across Lancashire. This great video brilliantly captures the project, and the positive impact it had on the young people who took part. #TechTogether #techUK #IWD2025 #DiversityInTech #DEI #InvestInWomen #Inclusion Nimmi Patel | Tania Teixeira | Tess Newton ____________ 💚 Visit our TechTogether Hub: https://lnkd.in/dXPYdk_K ____________ 🫶 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀?
