  • This week, we had the pleasure of partnering with our friends at The Women's Chapter® B Corp Certified for Accelerate Action – an inspiring panel discussion as part of our ongoing celebrations for #InternationalWomensDay and #WomensHistoryMonth. Chaired by Michelle Pughe-Parry de Klerk, the panel featured Geeta Sidhu-Robb, founder of Nosh Detox and W Corp; our Founder & CEO Naomi Heaton; Rebecca Day, CEO of She's Electric; and Karen Harvey MBE, founder of Toiletries Amnesty . Our members and guests had the honour of listening to a thought-provoking discussion with an all-women panel, who explored the challenges and opportunities in driving meaningful change across their respective industries. From overcoming barriers to breaking glass ceilings, it was inspiring to hear how we can accelerate progress in leadership, sustainability, business, and social impact. Thank you to all who joined us!

  • In celebration of International Women’s Day, our CEO & Co-Founder, Naomi Heaton, was among a group of leading women in the property industry asked by PrimeResi Journal what piece of advice they wish they had received when starting their careers. Here is Naomi’s advice for her younger self and the next generation of property entrepreneurs: “Being true to yourself, will be more interesting, intriguing and set you apart. Being different is what makes you stand out. Be tuned in to what people want, their needs and their aspirations. This is key to both innovation and selling ideas or products effectively. Never forget it, or you will lose their trust. Trust is the foundation of any successful business.” You can read the full article from PrimeResi here: https://lnkd.in/ebdJYtSf Find out more about International Women’s Day here: https://lnkd.in/dGJVP5Z #InternationalWomensDay #AccelerateAction

  • On Wednesday evening, we kicked off our International Women’s Day celebrations, in partnership with the Kensington + Chelsea Foundation, with a panel featuring three inspiring women, each of whom has made a positive impact within the borough. Chaired by the foundation’s Director, Victoria Steward Todd, Oumayma Tuijri, Susan Rudnik, and Carolyn Ouladzahra shared how their individual practices help impact the community—from safe childbirth for mothers, to addressing emotional and therapeutic needs through art therapy. The panel explored the various ways in which their work fosters positive transformation within the borough. #InternationalWomensDay #AccelerateAction #TheOtherHouse #KandCFoundation

  • With sustainability consistently guiding our values, we are constantly looking at ways we can keep our waste to a minimum at The Other House. Last month, we teamed up with charity Healthy Living Platform to donate thirteen fridges to communities in need. Initiatives like this help reinforce our commitment to sustainability while making a positive social impact. Carla Thomas, the charity's Managing Director said: "Generous, extraordinary donations like this really helps in the supply chain of re-distributing surplus food and supporting the community. At least 3 of the fridges have gone to a special school supporting children with social emotional mental health needs. They will distribute to families in need of a fridge and keep one specifically for our food donations to support those families with high levels of need." Well, that was fun! As London Fashion Week comes to a close, I’m reflecting on the energy, creativity, and excitement of our event last week. We kicked off LFW at The Other House with our Need It For Tonight VIP Event, easing our guests into LFW with a breathwork session by Ali Bolton, followed by a styling session with celebrity stylist Flick Bartlett. Our guests loved pieces by iconic brands and hidden gems, all available for same day delivery with NIFT. A perfect way to set the tone - guests left feeling both relaxed and stylish, ready to take on the week! Until next time…
