Purpl's mission is to help offset the significant financial challenges faced by the disabled community, who often incur an average of £1000 in additional monthly expenses due to their disability. Driven by our founder's personal experiences, we're on a mission to help mitigate these costs through our innovative discount program. Our secure Purpl Verification Tool ensures that only verified individuals gain access to exclusive offers from brands, fostering trust and authenticity within our closed group community. But Purpl is more than just discounts; we are a hub for valuable information, signposting and inspiring stories from our community. Committed to making a broader impact, we also plan to raise funds for UK-based disabled charities, amplifying our mission to support and uplift the disabled community. Disability Rights UK is the UK’s leading organisation led by, run by, and working for disabled people. We spoke to them to find out how they can support people living with disabilities, which includes information about RADAR keys, the Disability Rights Handbook and lots of other guidance! International Stress Awareness Week (ISAW) starts today and is an annual event that aims to raise awareness of stress and its effects on health and wellbeing. ISAW also encourages open conversations about stress and mental well-being to reduce the stigma surrounding these topics. As an organisation set up by disabled people, for disabled people, here at Purpl, we understand the stresses of the extra cost of living as a disabled person.
