"Don't use words too big for the subject. Don't say 'infinitely' when you mean 'very'; otherwise you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite." - C.S. Lewis Simple writing isn't just good writing, it's inclusive writing. Readability matters: ➕ 15-20% of people worldwide have some form of language or learning difference ➕ Most readers scan content at a lower level than their actual capability ➕ Even the experts prefer clear, straightforward content when making decisions And if you waste your 'big words' on small moments, what will you have left when it really counts? 🐈⬛ #WebAccessibility #ContentWriting #UXWriting

🚧 What are your digital boundaries? This week's digital clean up challenge was all about screens, because even your daily screen time has a carbon footprint! You can lower your impact with these 3 simple changes: 📱 Lowering your screen brightness saves energy and your eyes 💻 Does it need to be a video call? Or can you turn off your camera? One hour of video calls emits up to 1,000 g of carbon ( a gallon of fuel for a car emits only 8,887g!) ⏱️ Set up a screen time tracker and put time limits in place! Hide those apps and build up your digital boundaries. Did you miss our digital clean up challenge this time around? Tap the link to sign up for the next one 👉 https://lnkd.in/eCvQyUnh

⁉️ The age old question. We know it can be so hard to find the balance between a solid output and consistent quality ⚖️ Especially when you: 1. Don't have the design/content resources 2. Don't have have enough hours in the day 3. Feel like half your life is spent trying to appease algorithms over human beings 🛑 What do you prioritise in your marketing strategy? Quantity or quality? Seasonal vs Evergreen content: the breakdown 👇 🎃 Seasonal content is great. We love it. You love it. They love it. But we love it for a very specific period of time. Then we have no need of it for 12 months. 🌲 Evergreen content is also great. See above. We can love it year-round. It's helpful/entertaining/relatable for all 12 months. Hope that helps ✌ If you're trying to plan your evergreen content for 2025 and you want to find out how to set yourself up for search success, this blog is for you: https://lnkd.in/ehUDQhdx

This week's task in our digital clean up challenge has been to declutter your digital desktop 💻 Here are a few things you can do to make the planet happy, and your computer breathe a sigh of relief 👇 🌳 Bookmark frequently visited websites instead of searching repeatedly 🌳 Use direct URLs when you can remember them! 🌳 Keep browser tabs minimal and close unused ones (this one is a personal attack on me, the author of this post 👀 ) 🌳 Enable dark mode to reduce screen energy consumption Our individual searches might ▶️ seem ◀️ insignificant, but our collective digital behaviour has a huge impact. We could all stand to be more mindful about what we do online, so start small! What one thing can you do today? P.S.
