𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽 - 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗞 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 I recently hosted an Angel Investor Meetup on Monday evening, and I'm still inspired by the valuable insights, and connections made. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻? It all started with a simple LinkedIn post on Friday afternoon, asking if any angels were up for a casual meetup over drinks. A bold move for August, right?  I was taken back by the response to make this happen Thanks to everyone who helped spread the word. I organised a casual meetup, initially planned for a small group of max. 10 angels. But nearly 30 angels showed up—one even flew in from New York! ✈️ 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝘀: 📊 Over 80 angel investments represented by those attending 🌍 Diverse range of background from working at largest firms across wealth management, law, hedge funds, exited entrepreneurs, VCs, family offices, and LPs 💼 Some investors here professionally manage £ x billions in AUM. The lessons, connections and conversations shared are invaluable. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀? 🔗 To create meaningful, high-value connections within the angel community 💡 To bridge funds and angels across investment opportunities 🍷 To curate these connections in a relaxed, casual setting 🌐 To bring together professionals at various stages of their angel investing journey, and leverage learnings from different industries Even during the event, we saw deals exchanged and progress made. Hopefully, no one will say, “nothing happens in August” to me again 😉 I've had the pleasure of coaching and advising founders through their fundraising process, and I'm proud many of the angels I work with have been among the first to invest in those rounds. So great to join Foundervine’s financial health workshop yesterday evening! Such helpful insights from the panellists Afiya Chohollo Shosh Shetty & Nadège Knox and host Afiya Titus. The highlight, though, was getting to chat to fellow founders about their goals.
