We loved being part of the Kirklees Top 100 event this morning at Huddersfield Town Football Club along with so many other super companies who power the economy here. 👏🏼 🏭 🏢 It was inspiring to hear from public and private sector speakers who are so committed to building a stronger Kirklees to live and work in, including Sue Cooke, Paul Reeves and Steve Mawson. A huge 26% of Brits are unhappy when they look in the mirror - citing reasons such as feeling overweight (51%), skin issues (15%), and pressure from social media (21%). Last week was National Eczema Week and what better way to mark the occasion than attending the British Dermatological Nursing Group Conference! The main symptom of eczema is itching. It can impact any area of skin, but it is most common in the creases of elbows, knees, neck and wrists. (1) Whilst there is no cure for eczema, there are things you can do, for example regular use of emollients, that can help manage the condition. (1) This year, the focus of the week is sparking conversations. To do our part in this, we held a symposium chaired by Nurse Consultants Alberto Barea and Teena Mackenzie. The topic of the symposium was: “The LISTENED Study - Leveraging insights from social media to enable understanding of dermatological conditions”. This week's STADA EXPO activities continued on Monday, when we hosted an in-depth panel discussion all about the future of health and wellbeing for Huddersfield, Yorkshire and across the UK, featuring insights from the 2024 STADA Health Report. 🎤   Paul Burden, VP of Rx UK at STADA Thornton and Ross; Dr Nicola Gray, Reader in Medicines and Health at the University of Huddersfield; and Liz Towns-Andrews OBE, 3M Professor of Innovation at the University of Huddersfield and regional and business lead for the NHIC, discussed how improving health outcomes can be a superpower for economic regeneration and productivity, individual happiness and stronger communities too.   We’re proud to be playing our part to make things better in our local community, and are excited to see the next steps for the National Health Innovation Campus, which is going to be a crucial enabler for a stronger Huddersfield and surrounding areas, showing the way for the rest of the UK.   #CaringForPeoplesHealth #OneSTADA #huddersfield STADA Group
