43 % of Europeans are afraid of ageing - and the reasons are manifold.

Nearly 130 years ago, STADA was founded by pharmacists. On #WorldPharmacistsDay today we want to give a big thank you to all the pharmacists and their teams for everything they do to provide access to medicines worldwide. This year’s theme, "Meeting global health needs," resonates with us as we continue working together to support good health and well-being. Pharmacists and doctors “know what’s best” according to the #STADAHealthReport. Although discontent with healthcare is tangible, trust in conventional medicine has increased significantly across Europe. Almost 7 in 10 Europeans (69%) say that they trust conventional medicine largely or fully – an increase by 7 percentage points compared to 2022. Trust in conventional medicine is already high, but the STADA Health Report has identified the following development potential to increase it even further: 👉 46% believe a stronger focus on patient needs will enhance trust. 👉 42% think clearer communication during consultations is crucial. 👉 41% believe breakthroughs in treating severe diseases, like cancer, would boost confidence. Addressing these factors could significantly increase trust and improve patient experiences. Generic and biosimilar medicines offer comparable safety, quality and efficacy to original reference medicines at often far lower costs. On World Patient Safety Day, STADA supports industry group Medicines for Europe in promoting equitable access to high-quality medicines. As Europe's pharmaceutical legislation is updated, it is vital that we foster timely competition that optimizes patient access to safe, high-quality, effective medicines. A modern digitized regulatory network; support for European medicines manufacturing and more secure supply chains; incentives to invest in off-patent innovation - just some of the initiatives that can empower progress and ensure we leave no patient behind. #CaringForPeoplesHealth #LevellingUp

🩺 Trust in conventional medicine has improved in Europe over the last two years, rising from 62% in 2022 to 69% in 2024. The main reasons include #trust in doctors and pharmacists, effective treatments and the extensive research conventional medicine is based on. But what about those who do not trust it? There are many reasons for this - and some of them also depend on gender. For men, the main reason for the lack of trust is the fear that everyone involved in conventional medicine just wants to make money. For women, on the other hand, the most frequently cited reason is that conventional medicine only focuses on treating symptoms instead of actual causes. People who rate their mental health as good are particularly carefree about the future: only 38% of them are afraid of growing older. Today we are putting the spotlight on Isabelle Brand's exceptional career journey at STADA. She started in May 2020 as a participant in our esteemed Global Trainee program; Isabelle has navigated diverse roles, bringing fresh perspectives and impactful contributions to each assignment. Her time at Bad Vilbel exemplifies her commitment to excellence, from pioneering automated throughput time reports using Alteryx and Tableau to delving into data research within our Data Science & Analytics department. Embracing roles in Quality Assurance Compliance and Improvement, Isabelle deepened her understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and nurtured a comprehensive knowledge of our production site and global requirements, demonstrating unwavering dedication to operational excellence. From January 2022, Isabelle has been serving as a Product Steward at Bad Vilbel MS&T, proactively involved in pre- and post-audit preparations for Bad Vilbel and Pfaffenhofen sites. She has been engaging in activities such as root-cause investigations, ongoing process verification, and leading the introduction of a new cleaning validation concept. Her next station was as a Global Tech Transfer Manager at STADA Vietnam for 18 months. Isabelle has displayed exemplary leadership in managing product transfers, optimizing processes, and driving cross-functional improvement activities. Since July 2024, Isabelle is working as MS&T project manager at Norbitec GmbH in Uetersen. The site manufactures biotechnologically the active ingredient for the treatment of anemia. Her focus is on leading projects in the up- and downstream production area to support and strengthens the site’s growth.
