It is the last day of the @ALUMINIUM - World Trade Fair and Conference at @Messe Dusseldorf and our thyssenkrupp Materials UK team have had a blast! 🎉 Day one for the team kicked off with our Head of Commercial Sales, Kevin Parker and our Head of Fabrications Sales, steve Nash, meeting our extended thyssenkrupp Materials Ibérica, thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary Zrt. and thyssenkrupp Materials Services family to share knowledge and experiences. Day two was the perfect opportunity for both Kevin and Steve to meet an array of suppliers, including some of our own supply chain partners; strengthening and building the relationships we have with them. Kevin Parker excitedly said; “It was interesting to see the shift in theme at this year’s Aluminium Trade Fair, there was a lot of green sustainable themes on most stands. There was also a big push on green products, with carbon footprint being at the top of the agenda”. The theme extends to our very own stand, where we discussed our greenability offering, Product Carbon Footprint report and CBAM values. Ever seen water cut through metal? 💧 At thyssenkrupp Materials UK our 9 Waterjet Cutting machines based at our Centre of Excellence site - Darton, offer an impressive range of capabilities by using high-pressure jets of water mixed with sand or other strong, abrasive materials, for even faster processing. Our Waterjet Cutting services are widely preferred for materials that do not handle intensive heat well as it is a cold cutting process, making it a fantastic way to cut through hard materials such as granite, hard steel and thicker aluminium. Through our Waterjet Cutting process, we are able to offer you state-of-the-art nesting services, which can help us track sheet remnants and nest your parts onto any odd shapes to help save valuable material.
