Just wrapped up my first international event at INMerge Innovation Summit in Baku, and I’ve got to say, what an experience! It felt like a bit of a whirlwind, but in the best way possible. I was there with TRC, our partner who’s shaking up the way tier-2/3 cities work with their City as a Service model. Think plug-n-play services like smart transport, water, and waste management. Rohith absolutely smashed it on stage, pitching their vision for future-ready cities, and it was surreal to see their ideas resonate so well with the audience. For me, it was a special moment too, as this was the first time I took Nowii, my rewards-as-a-service platform, to an international stage. Nowii is all about sustainable travel and offering rewards in a way that works across any industry with a simple API plug-in, and being part of this event really solidified how relevant sustainability is in every sector. The potential for growth, especially in the Caucasus region, is massive, and seeing so many like-minded innovators under one roof was genuinely exciting. The whole thing felt like a story still being written; the networking, the shared ideas, and the opportunities just waiting to be explored. Part 1 of 2: 10 Days, 1000 KMs, and a Front-Row Seat to Saudi’s Vision 🚗🌍 Just back from an incredible 10-day trip across Saudi Arabia and Jordan, and I’ve been digesting everything that unfolded. What was supposed to be an exploratory trip for TRC to check-in on our POC for CaaS (City as a Service) platform and smart transportation services in Neom and KAEC quickly turned into something much bigger. As part of our multi-year contract, we’ve already laid the groundwork, but this visit opened up exciting new projects that could truly reshape the future. (Yes, there’s more to come 😉). Saudi’s transformation in just two years has been nothing short of remarkable. The speed and ambition behind their smart city initiatives are inspiring. Neom, especially, feels like a glimpse into the future we’ve all been talking about. To witness this firsthand and be part of the journey from Day 1 is an experience that’s hard to put into words.
