Throwback Friday! My first car was an orange VW Beetle, called Vince. He stoically took me to sixth-form college and back down Princess Parkway in Manchester for about 18 months until one day smoke started coming out of the back. For those in the know, VW Beetles are air-cooled and the engine is in the back. I turned down a quiet residential road, got out and saw huge flames leaping from the back of my beloved car. I was in upper sixth and had all my A-Level notes in my bag on the back seat, so contrary to all advice, I retrieved my bag from the burning car and knocked on the nearest door to get help. The fire brigade put out the flames and all that was left of Vince was a smoky husk of a car. What memories do you have of your first car?

Carl started out from humble beginnings and then aspired to break the cycle of benefits/council housing and entered the world of working to be independent. He started out in health and safety after a stint learning jujitsu, and now currently runs multiple entrepreneurial ventures including the Progressive Property Network and his podcast ‘Lazy Wealth Creation'.
