Let us know what you want – and expect – to see from the chancellor today 👇
In about an hour, the chancellor Rachel Reeves will deliver the new Labour government's first Budget, one likely to be one of the most important and far-reaching in recent history. There are no easy answers to the country's economic challenges, and her statement certainly won't please everyone, but its contents will set a new economic course for the country and core industries – like travel. So we at TTG Media went out to gauge what it is the industry – and its many sub-sectors – want from the chancellor today. Comments from ABTA's Luke Petherbridge, AITO - The Specialist Travel Association's Martyn Sumners, The Advantage Travel Partnership's Julia Lo Bue-Said D.Litt, Airlines UK's Tim Alderslade, AirportsUK's Karen Dee and Barrhead Travel Group's Jacqueline Dobson.

It was brilliant to share a stage with travel and comedy legend Sir Michael Palin as TTG Media picked up the award for Print Trade Publication of the Year at the Travel Media Awards at the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Park Lane last night, 71 years since the first edition of the Travel Trade Gazette. Congratulations to all the winners - including Sir Michael, picking up the Special Contribution award, a year after our very own Pippa Jacks - and congratulations to the tireless #teamttg! #travel #travelmedia #smarterbetterfairer #smarterbetterfairertravel #bcorpcertified

Just returned from another superb Latitude cruise conference hosted by The Advantage Travel Partnership. Massive thanks to Jonny Peat, Kelly Cookes, David Forder and Danielle de Nervaux for inviting me to moderate the final session of the conference. Although it was my first time ‘in the hot seat’, I loved every second - even when the thorny issue of discounting was raised by one delegate during the Q&A session. I also want to say thank you to Eithne Williamson and Louise Craddock for allaying agents’ concerns. Really looking forward to hearing where Jonny and Kelly decide to take the growing army of agent members next year! Will it be held on an expedition ship? Read my full report here:
